In this week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4/Episode 11), everybody was a ‘BITCH’, literally and figuratively. For the mini-challenge this week, each contestant had to create a ‘Bitch Fest’ puppet show, where their puppet was a fellow competitor who had to be dragged up in their likeness. This mini-challenge is similar to the ‘reading’ challenge. The only difference is they had to create ‘bitchy’ banter, instead of just having to ‘read’ a bitch.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on Week 10's RDR!
by Eddie Walker
Didn’t I tell she was coming back? At the end of last week’s episode, RuPaul announced that a banished queen would be returning to the competition. It was my hope that ‘the chosen one’ would be Kenya Michaels. She’s young, fresh, full of fire, and she left way to early. Lo and behold, the bitch returned. I knew it had to be her. None of the other queens, with the exception of Willam, could compete against the ‘Final Fab Four’. This is how it all went down…
This week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4/Episode 10) was the DILF episode. DILF meaning ‘Dads I’d Like to Frock’. To start with, the mini-challenge was giving a teddy bear a makeover. Kenya Michaels was winner of the mini-challenge.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on Week 9's RDR!
by Eddie Walker
There was no big surprise how this week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4/Episode 9) ended. However, there was a dramatic twist added at the end that no one saw coming. Here’s what happened. As you know, we’re down to the ‘Final Fab Five’ (Chad Michaels; DiDa Ritz; PhiPhi O’Hara; Sharon Needles; Latrice Royale). The mini-challenge for this episode was to design a pair of platform heels inspired by a flavor of Absolut Vodka. PhiPhi O’Hara was the winner of the mini-challenge. I’m not sure what she won. It would have been nice if it was a case of each of the flavors of Absolut Vodka, but I don’t think that happened.

(OUTscene America) Willam Belli, RuPaul's Drag Race Rule Breaker!
by Logan Lynn
Like many of you, I was shocked Last Monday night when, on RuPaul's Drag Race, Ru announced that one of the contestants, Willam Belli, had broken the rules and was being disqualified from the competition. (That's right. I love TV. Deal with it.)
Oddly enough, I had scheduled an interview with Willam last week, before the bomb dropped, for a second installment of my HuffPost blog "Queer Celebrities Need Love, Too," but after watching the show I decided to throw out all those questions.
My chat with Willam from Tuesday (the day after all the drama) is below.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on Week 8's RDR!
by Eddie Walker
This week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4/Episode 8) was downright sickening. Literally. Last week, I was shocked to see Willam in the bottom two with Jiggly. This week, I’m absolutely horrified to see her ‘sashay away’. And it’s not because she puked (off-stage thankfully) while the judges were giving their critiques. Nor was it because she was in the bottom two again. Willam’s performance was polished as usual, and she ended up being named one of the winners of this week’s main challenge. I’m really not sure what happened, but I can tell you how it all went down.
This week was the ‘Frenemy Episode’. There really wasn’t a mini-challenge in this episode. What they did instead was have all the girls take a lie-detector test to get to the “T”, if you know what I mean. For this week’s main challenge, the girls had to compete as teams. The results from the lie-detector tests were used to decide who would be teamed up together. It ended up being complete opposites on teams together. Willam and Latrice Royal were teamed up together. Then Chad Michaels and DiDa Ritz paired up. And last but not least was PhiPhi O’Hara and Sharon Needles on a team together. Talk about a match made in Hell.

(OUTscene America) 'RuPaul's Drag Race' disqualified contestant speaks out: 'I wasn't caught doing anything'!
by Tanner Stransky
Via EW.com
Well, no one saw this one coming — except for maybe Willam herself.
“Will you please step forward?” RuPaul asked the controversial queen at the very end of last night’s new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, sending what should have been the routine elimination of Phi Phi O’Hara or Sharon Needles into a totally different — and weird — direction.
It was only after Willam — who was actually the winner of the night’s fremeny challenge, alongside partner Latrice Royale — came back to the front of the stage that — SPOILER ALERT — it was revealed that she was being disqualified from the show. “It has come to my attention that you have broken the rules,” RuPaul told Willam. “Your actions have consequences, and I’m afraid I have no choice.”
There were several very odd parts to the whole episode-ending sequence: Just minutes before this shocking revelation, Willam took a moment to step to the edge of the runway and puke — in front of her fellow contestants and the judging panel.
(Disqualified because she barfed in public?) And then, after she was kicked off the show, there was no explanation about what rules she had broken, by her or RuPaul or anyone connected with the show.
In fact, Willam seemed flip about the whole situation. “I broke the rules,,” she said on the episode, before rubbing her butt on the mirror in the workroom where she also left a goodbye message for her fellow contestants, “but I’m a big boy dressed in big girls clothes. Regrets kind of like a fool’s game. I can’t change anything that I did, and there’s no point in dwelling on it.” The good news? Phi Phi O’Hara and — bless, bless, bless! — Sharon Needles are safe.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on Week 7's RDR!
by Eddie Walker
Episode 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4) is definitely the most shocking episode so far. For the mini-challenge, the girls had to “read” each other. Personally, I hate the “reading” competition. I think it’s a cruel ‘mean girl’ game, but still, ‘reading’ is a necessary skill if you want to play in this league. However, I’m sorry say but, every last one of the girls’ ‘reading’ skills left me not impressed. ‘Reading’ is all about timing, delivery, and cleverness. All of the girls were off on all counts.
Latrice Royal was named the winner of this week’s mini-challenge, and it really could have been any of them because they were all mediocre. I’m glad Latrice won, because I don’t think she has won anything in the past, and I can’t see her winning anything in the future. For the main challenge, the girls had to create a “Dragazine” cover, along with a look for the runway. This week’s winner was none other than Phi Phi O’Hara.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on Week 6's RDR!
by Eddie Walker
In Episode 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 4), we found out who was a champion, and who was just a chump. Let’s start with the champion, who is none other than my favorite to win, Willam. Willam won both the mini-challenge and the main challenge.
The mini-challenge was the “Spring Break 2012 Wet T-Shirt Contest.” And Jiggly said it best in “Untucked”, when she said Willam won only because she was a “whore”. And a “whore” was exactly what the crowd wanted, which is why Willam won. If I was in that crowd, I would have voted for Willam too. She was definitely whorish, but in a tasteful way which made her performance seem artistic like in “Flash Dance”. The rest of the girls’ performances were crude compared to Willam’s. They really need to step up there game if they want to compete with her.

(OUTscene America) RE-view: Eddie's Take on this weeks RDR!
by Eddie Walker
RuPaul got it right
with that parting statement for the girls, at the end of the first
episode, “Oh girls, while you’re back there, I would think of ways to
make a more memorable impression. That’s all.” RuPaul’s Drag Race
Season Four contestants are the most underwhelming contestants I have
ever seen. Where are the BeeBees, Ravens, Manilas, and Rajas from
seasons past? Is this as good as it gets? If so, I guess we’ll just
have to work with what we’ve got. There are a few that have potential,
but they all have issues. Let me go down the list.

SASHAY: RuPaul Likes The Word 'Tranny'!
RuPaul is done with political correctness. In an interview with Michelangelo Signorile doomed to get a lot of ugly blowback -- and which was recapitulated by Signorile at at HuffPo -- she rails against the tranny taboo ...
On Lance Bass's apology for using the word "tranny" Rupaul says: "It's ridiculous! It's ridiculous!... I love the word "tranny"...And I hate the fact that he's apologized. I wish he would have said, 'F-you, you tranny jerk!'"... and against criticism of ABC's defunct Work It ...
... Of the ABC sitcom, "Work It," in which two straight men dress in drag in order to get jobs and which has been criticized by gay and transgender activists for mocking transgender women, RuPaul implores the activists: "Don't take life so seriously... We live in a culture where everyone is offended by everything."... while stumping for the new season of her show, RuPaul's Drag Race, which she says is "influenced by the Gaga-esqe movement of today." And she's not just saying that. Signorile posted a slideshow of this season's contestants, and every single one of them looks like a permutation of Gaga.

SASHAY AWAY: Ru Paul Is Not Ron Paul!
Like Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, et al, Ru Paul is now campaigning in New Hampshire. From Politico: I'm going to NH on a mission to spread love and set the record straight: contrary to recent reports, I am NOT Ron Paul. And I am not running for president of the United States. I hope to meet Ron Paul in person so we can be seen together to put the rumors to rest once and for all. And to remind Mr. Paul and all the Republican presidential candidates: "If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you going to love somebody else. Can I get an 'Amen'?"
