Debut! (BOLD MOVES) Maya tells boyfriend Rick that she is Transgender!

The setting was a mountain cabin where Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) had taken Maya (Karla Mosley) to propose marriage.

Although Rick had been in the dark, several people had already found out about Maya after her sister confided the news to the wrong person.

Maya had decided that she wouldn’t disclose the news to Rick until she was sure he was serious about having a future with her.She found out he was when Rick proposed marriage.

Rick was hurt that Maya had not confided in him sooner but in the end reassures her that he loves her.

‘I’m glad you told me,’ he says. ‘That’s what the woman I know would do. So what does it change? […] I just know that I love you and I want to spend my life with you. So please don’t walk away from me.’

While the couple are finding their way, there’s a more sinister part of the storyline going on as a media tycoon and tabloid publisher named Bill Spencer is preparing to out Maya to the rest of the world.

Spencer wants to create a scandal by creating sensationalistic headlines about Maya and Rick’s relationship with the hopes of damaging Rick professionally.

This leads to one of Spencer’s staff members saying: ‘What am I missing? Transgender people exist. This is not news.’STAY TUNED!

It upset a lot of activists and other folks in trans communities around the country. He called us names and said we were “acting out emotionally”. Love Georg Elfvelin, a 21 year old store manager in Sweden, explains, in a new video: "I'm trans. That means I am born in a female body but my heart says I'm a man. I'm speaking out today because the Swedish government is forcing thousands of people like me to make an impossible choice. IT GETS WORSE: Dan Savage Glitter Bombed Again, Re/ponds to Transphobia Accusations!

Gay rights activist and sex columnist Dan Savage, after being glitter bombed at the University of Oregon earlier this month, was yet again showered with sparkles in response to using transphobic language in his Savage Love column and on stage. This story has taken quite a few turns.

The Bilerico first reported the incident on November 14th, an article which Savage blogged, “actively and maliciously misrepresented” his remarks. On November 9th, Savage, who is on a tour of Universities for his upcoming MTV series, was speaking to an audience at the University of California Irvine. On his blog, Savage explains that he was answering a question from an audience member about her boyfriend who, in her words, “likes watching shemale porn.” In his response, Savage was reported to have used to problematic terms, “shemale” and “freaky tranny porn,” while also confirming that yes, the boyfriend in question was a freak. Savage has fired back to the allegations claiming, “I did say ‘shemale.’ I read the question as-written, repeated the term in my response, and then used ‘transsexual’ in place of ‘shemale’…modeling the use of less offensive terms.” He added, “I never used the phrase ‘freaky tranny porn.’ I never said the word ‘tranny’ at UCI at all.”He does admit to calling the boyfriend “a very freaky boy,” but apparently did not mean it negatively as he and his column are “pro-freak.”

GRIM: Burned Torso Identified as That of Missing Transgender Detroit Teen!

A burned torso left near a freeway in Detroit has been identified, the Detroit Free Press reports: HilliardHenry Hilliard Jr., 19, also known as Shelley or Treasure, was last seen at 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 23 in the 900 block of Longfellow, wearing a silver dress. The 19-year-old had several piercings and tattoos, including one of cherries on the upper right arm.

Chief Investigator Albert Samuels of the Medical Examiner's office was able to connect the cherry tattoo to the information provided by police to make a match, said spokesman Dennis Niemiec.

Police said they're investigating Hilliard's death as a homicide.
Hilliard went missing on October 23: A cab driver that Hilliard often used for rides dropped Hilliard off at a home where three men were waiting for her, his mother, Lyniece Nelson, said today.
But Hilliard immediately called the driver back, voicing concern about the situation, Nelson said.

The driver "started to hear her say, 'What are you doing,' then scream out loud 'No,' then her phone dropped, a few muffling noises, then the phone went dead," Nelson said. "By the time he got back around the corner, there was no one in sight."

TRANS-FER: California Nursing School Expels Transgender Student for 'Fraud'!

A participant in MTV's reality show True Life has been expelled from a Baptist nursing school after officials discovered she is transgender: JavierDomaine Javier, 24, said university officials told her she was expelled for falsely claiming on her application form that she is a female. Javier revealed on MTV’s “True Life” that she is biologically male. Letters the university sent to Javier say she was expelled for “committing or attempting to engage in fraud, or concealing identity,” and for presenting false or misleading information in university judicial processes.

Javier, 24, said she has identified herself as female since she was a toddler and correctly clicked the space next to “female” on the online application form.

California schools cannot discriminate on the basis of gender identity, unless they are private, as is the case with Cal Baptist.

“I didn’t know they were that extreme," said Javier.

BRAVE: Chaz's Manly Exit from 'DWTS'!

Chaz_bono
Chaz Bono was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night after a season that turned up none of the controversy predicted by right-wing blowhards like Dr. Keith Ablow.

Said Chaz upon his departure: "I took so much away from this. This was an amazing journey that really pushed me and showed me that I could do so much more than I ever thought I could. I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. If there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different. And so I dedicated everything I did to all the people out there like me and especially to kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful, great life and be successful and happy."

TRAN-sition: Lady Gaga Talks About Pushing 'Trans' Comfort Levels!

Noah Michelson talks to Lady Gaga in the HuffPost's new Gay Voices section. Gaga ruminates on activism, 'DADT' repeal, outing celebrities, and her recent incarnation as male alter ego Jo Calderone at the VMAs.

Jo_calderone Said Gaga to the HuffPo: The performance of Jo is meant to manipulate the visualization of gender in as many ways as I possibly could. And in a completely different way, sort of do that by creating what seems to be a straight man -- a straight and quite relatable American man. I wanted to see how I could take someone who is so approachable and so relatable and press a much more unrelatable issue that is so hidden or so chained up. [I wanted to see] how I could put someone who is challenging all of those things in a very pop culture moment and force people to deal with it no matter how uncomfortable or exciting it may be.
I see the trans community as a very inspiring group that on a daily basis deals with obstacles and struggles that most of us can't perceive of. I think they should be revered and honored and protected and I think it's important for me, as an artist, to push those particular boundaries because of how many of them I know and how important it is to the young community and in order to stop bullying and to inspire teachers in schools and the heads of giant organizations to be kind and tolerant to one another so that we all may discover who we are in a free and loving space.

BANNED: Trans Worker Told to Get Off Premises of 'Family Friendly' Farmer's Market!

A transgender worker for True2You, a candle and incense vendor at Trail's End Farmer's Market in London, Ontario, was disturbing the "family friendly atmosphere" there according to the market's owner and would not be allowed back on the premises.

Trailsend True2You owner Karen Clarke tells AM890 she got a call from one of the market's managers: "Everything was fine when I left and it wasn't until five to 8 on Saturday night that I got a call from the management at Trails End. Basically they said if I was going to have those people there anymore I'm invited to take my business elsewhere....He said it made everyone uncomfortable and it just wasn't right. This is a family place, a family market and this just isn't right. I just kept insisting what happened that was wrong and he said you walk up to the person and they're dressed like a woman and they've got big hands, a deep voice and tattoos and it's just not right. It's just not a family place he kept repeating that over and over again. And I kept trying to get from him what was wrong, what was so not right, what was it that people were complaining about and there was no details forthcoming that way. He called them 'those people' several times."
