(TIME Warp) 16 Years after 'The Kiss' that was felt around the 'World'!
Luke Snyder and Noah Mayer were a supercouple that didn't end up together when As the World Turns ended 3 years later. Luke was portrayed by Van Hansis, and Noah was portrayed by Jake Silbermann. On Internet message boards, the couple is referred to by the portmanteau "Nuke" (for Noah and Luke). They are notable for being one of American daytime television's first gay male couples.
The two made history on August 17, 2007, when the show "featured the first-ever" gay male kiss in American daytime. The YouTube video of the kiss was one of the top-watched the following day. The now "legendary" kiss stands as one of the most viewed selections in the history of YouTube with over 2 million hits.

(TIME-warp): Remembering Ellen's TV Coming OUT Party 22 years ago TODAY!
Can you believe it has been 20 years since Gays on Television were never the same again? When Ellen Degeneres' LEAD Character came out on 'Ellen' on April 30, 1997 it opened the door to more lead gay characters on television.
Talk about ballsy. Called “The Puppy Episode”, the show garnered 42 million viewers and marked the first gay leading primetime character in television history. Despite speculation that advertisers would try to pull away from the controversy, the only corporate sponsor to cancel was Chrysler, and only for the single episode.

(OUTview AMERICA) EXCLUSIVE: Catching up with Broadway, TV star, and musician, Reeve Carney at Steamposium 2017
by MK Scott
Six years ago, Reeve Carney had just started out on Broadway in title role of the much-talked about Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark musical with the sensational score by Bono with The Edge which was originally directed by Julie Taymor (The Lion King). The show was plagued with a high-budget and the dangerous aerial stunts that even injured a stunt man. In August 2011, I was lucky enough to attend and review Spider-Man and the music and the leading man was what made the show. I met Reeve Carney after the show and he was very gracious. I later learned that his band, Carney, had performed as part of the pit orchestra for the show. I also learned that he is the grand-nephew of TV legend, Art Carney ('The Honeymooners'). In recent years, Carney left Broadway for the starring role of omnisexual, Dorian Gray on Showtime's Penny Dreadful (2014-16) and last year as Riff-Raff in the FOX TV remake of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. So, it was a delight to catch up with Reeve at Steamposium 2017 (also known as Steampunk-Con) at Seattle's Bell Harbor Conference center on October 28.

('Looking' Back): Episode 4, 'Looking For $220/Hour'!
We're now halfway through the first season of HBO's Looking. Sunday's episode "Looking For $220/Hour" introduced some soapier elements and (finally) some real conflict for our leads. It's the best writing we've seen on the show yet, and, if the back half of the season continues the momentum, it could salvage the show and keep me interested in a second season.
Four episodes deep may not be the best time to start getting interesting, but I'm glad to see the show's principle stories finally picking up some steam.
For many viewers, it may just be too little, too late. That's a shame, because I think tonight's episode finally struck the right balance between the show's much-touted realism (some might call it "overly-touted") and some really nice storytelling. (Plus Groff finally went Shirtless)!

DEBUT! (SUMMER HUNKS) Mark Feuerstein from Royal Pains!
Mark Feuerstein, 42, got his break-through on television as a recurring character on the daytime soap opera Loving. When director Nancy Meyers was casting What Women Want, her daughter recognized Feuerstein from Practical Magic (1998), and insisted that her mother cast him. He was dubbed by wags as "Murderer of a thousand sitcoms" and "sitcom kryptonite", due to his lack of success in Fired Up (1997), Conrad Bloom (1998), The Heart Department (2001), Good Morning, Miami (2002), and 3 Lbs. (2007). Feuerstein reunited as a love interest with Practical Magic co-star, Sandra Bullock, in the film Two Weeks Notice, but all of his scenes were deleted.
He was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2003.
Feuerstein currently is starring in the lead role on the USA Network television show Royal Pains.

(EDDIE's TAKE) RDR Episode 11 Season 5!
by Eddie Walker
For episode 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race - Season 5, titled “Sugar Ball”, we are left with the final four competing for the title of America’s Next Drag Super Star. Two are from my original top three picks, Roxxy Andrews and Detox, who have both had to lip-sync for their life. The other two are my underdogs that surprised us all by sailing through the competition without having to lip-sync for their life once, Alaska and Jinkx Monsoon. One of my original top three picks and one of my underdogs ended up having to battle it out at the lip-sync. Who they are will surprise you. Who ended up winning the lip-sync will surprise you even more.
