A massive victory for equality in Wisconsin and Indiana, with one of the most strongly-worded decisions yet. A judge in Louisiana has ruled against marriage equality, but there are some problems with his ruling. There are major oral arguments this week in multiple states, and more cases move closer to consideration by the US Supreme Court.

(MNW) NOM's Losing Streak Continues!
Anti-gay attorneys took a beating before the Seventh Circuit last week, trying and failing to defend marriage bans before a panel of hostile judges. Now all eyes are on the Supreme Court to see which cases they'll take up in their fall session. There's another major marriage argument coming up in a few days. And the National Organization for Marriage still isn't giving up in Oregon, despite having lost months ago.

OVTV: (MNW) VA Marriage Hearing is This Week!
A surprise twist in AFER's Virginia lawsuit. The Indiana House passes a marriage ban, but in so doing could actually delay its progress. Utah and Oklahoma cases are speeding towards the Supreme Court, and our chances for victory have greatly improved in Nevada. Plus there's progress this week in West Virginia, Hawaii, and Kansas.

(Marriage News Watch) Marriage Starts this week in Hawaii!
Marriage starts this week in Hawaii, but there's a potential new roadblock that could still halt the weddings. We have a date for a trial in Pennsylvania, there's a new lawsuit in Texas, and one couple in Illinois has been allowed to marry six months before the scheduled start date.

FREAK OUT: More Trouble for LiLo, This Time in Hawaii!
Ah, LiLo, is there no mess you can't get into?
Lohan was vacationing in Hawaii over the weekend when her $5,000 Chanel
bag went missing—along with the sizable amount of cash, passport, and
probation paperwork it contained, reports the New York Daily News.
Apparently the starlet was partying (sober, say sources) when she left
her bag in a car; when she returned two hours later, the bag was gone.
TMZ
reports that Lohan absolutely freaked out, knowing that if she misses
her Wednesday probation hearing in Los Angeles, the judge could hold her
in contempt and toss her back into jail. Lucky, then, that it was
apparently returned to her yesterday afternoon. TMZ
reports that her friend asked a "suspicious-looking local" if he knew
about the purse's whereabouts. He reportedly said he didn't, but then
claimed minutes later to have found it on the street. The documents were
inside; her $10,000 wasn't.

POLITICS: Hawaii Governor Signs Civil Unions Into Law!
AP) – Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie signed same-sex civil unions into law yesterday, calling it "a triumph for everyone" that gay and lesbian couples will have the same state rights as married partners. Civil unions in the Rainbow State will start Jan. 1, 2012, making Hawaii the seventh state to permit them. "This bill represents equal rights for everyone in Hawaii, everyone who comes here. This is to me the essence of the aloha spirit," Abercrombie said at a signing ceremony.
A crowd of exuberant supporters yelled, cheered, and applauded as the Democrat inscribed his signature on the legislation, making it the first law he's enacted since he was elected in November. “We deserve the same rights as everyone else. It's been a long, long time coming," said a supporter.
