(TIME Warp) 34 years ago the WALL was torn down and Berlin became AGAIN one the Gayest cities in the World!

The Berlin Wall (German: Berliner Mauer) was a barrier that existed from 1961 through 1989, constructed by the German Democratic Republic (GDR, East Germany) starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off (by land) West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin until it was opened in 1989. The barrier included guard towers placed along large concrete walls, which circumscribed a wide area (later known as the "death strip") that contained anti-vehicle trenches, "fakir beds" and other defenses. The Eastern Bloc claimed that the wall was erected to protect its population from fascist elements conspiring to prevent the "will of the people" in building a socialist state in East Germany. In practice, the Wall served to prevent the massive emigration and defection that marked East Germany and the communist Eastern Bloc during the post-World War II period.

GRUESOME: Gay Berlin Man Missing for Three Weeks Found to Be Victim of BRUTAL Murder!

Berlin's gay community has been rocked by the gruesome murder of a man missing since New Year's Day:SrockThe BZ daily reported on Wednesday that the deceased, Carsten Srock, was found with his limbs expertly carved off with either an axe or large knife. The body pieces were then wrapped fastidiously in plastic bags and cling-wrap, and left to sit in the two-room flat for around three weeks. His head was found, partially cooked, by the police. Prosecutors on the case told the BZ they believe the victim was “murdered for sexual pleasure.”

Owner of the Mariendorf apartment is a 43-year-old man identified as Michael S., who was rescued by paramedics after trying to take his own life. The unemployed Berliner attempted to open a main vein, before calling the emergency services minutes after. It was only upon the arrival of the paramedics that the gruesome truth began to come to light.

THUMPING: Singer Fined for Bad-Mouthing the Bible!

A Polish pop singer has been fined for disparaging the Bible. Dorota Rabczewska, who goes by the stage name Doda, said in an interview that she doubted the Bible because "it's hard to believe in something that was written by someone drunk on wine and smoking herbs." She was fined $1,450 for offending religious feelings, reports AP. The case was seen as a test of continuing Catholic influence and freedom of expression in the increasingly secular nation. A court recently let off a death metal performer who tore a Bible during a performance, deeming it artistic expression.

THERE'S AN APP: Apparently A Dream Come True For Horny Polish Oversharers!

IjustmadeloveDid you just make love? Do you want to tell the world about it? There's an app for that!

"I Just Made Love" is catching on in Europe. At least, it's catching on in Poland. According to The Daily Mail: The Android - and now iPhone - app lets you record where, when and even in what position you 'made love' - and then upload it to an online database - with your comments.
The Android app has already been downloaded 10,000 times.

The I Just Made Love site claims to have recorded 193,000 'acts of love' ... Most of the posts via the site so far seem to be in Polish - with only isolated instances of lovemaking in other countries.
Along with the blunt fact of your having got lucky, the app lets you note where it happened, and allows you to provide a "very limited" amount of context -- whether the encounter occured indoors, outdoors, in a car, or on a boat. It's the perfect app for the Don Juan cum compulsive oversharer. Assuming compulsive oversharers get laid.

RESPECTED: LGBT Rights Pioneer Axel Axgil Dies !

Denmark-1989-3
The gay rights pioneer who became known as "Axel Axgil" came out of the closet in Denmark, 1948. The next day he lost his job. This weekend, he died of "complications from a fall." He was 96 years old.

According to The Washington Post: Axgil, born Axel Lundahl-Madsen, was among the founding members of the organization — one of the oldest gay rights groups in Europe — in 1948.

On Oct. 1, 1989, he and his partner Eigil were among 11 couples to exchange vows as Denmark became the first country to allow gays to enter civil unions, with nearly the same rights as heterosexual couples. Eigil Axgil died in 1995.

In the 1950s, both were sentenced on pornography charges to short prison terms for running a gay modeling agency that issued pictures of naked men. The men melded their first names into a new surname, Axgil, and used it in a public show of defiance.

BIG POLE: The mission to Male Pole Dancing!

Poledance
The WSJ looks at competititive pole dancing in Hungary, and a new interest in it from men: With its roots in strip clubs and bedrooms, pole dancing has been dismissed as a misogynistic playground in which women contort themselves for the viewing pleasure of men. But lately some women have fought to transcend titillation by rebranding it as fitness. Some have even petitioned the International Olympic Committee to make it an Olympic sport.

But a lingering taboo surfaces when men seek to slide onto the pole, too.

"When I tell people what I do, there is shock, 'No! pole dancing is for women," said the "poler" Mr. Shields, who is also a student nurse. "Pole dancing, he says, "can be masculine, too."
