EXCLUSIVE: American Idol Alum, DeAndre Brackensick on Coming Out, Belonging and Music!

Saturday, July 21st will mark the 4th Annual Alki Beach PRIDE with the years theme, COME OUT and Float at the Beach. From 11a to 6pm, join performers and FREE food and hang out at the beach. Hosted by Thadayus with music by DJ Ms Cruz Entertainment & DJ Fred Eddison and LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Louvel, Visage “Legs” LaRue, Izohnny, Lakin, and DeAndre Brackensick.

From 2009 to 2012, I was proud of my work as being the only NW LGBT media to cover the American Idol tour. It was 2012 at the Key Arena, where I met DeAndre Brackensick. I could tell there was something magic about him. He had lots of passion when talking about his gay fans and that he had family that were gay and grew up around lots of drag queens. So, I was still surprised when he confirmed that he is Bisexual. I could find no mention of this on line, just a short-term relationship with Season 11 runner up, Jessica Sanchez. Despite this revelation, I management to ask the heartthrob, now 23, some questions (by email on July 17) about performing this weekend.

(IDOL LUST) Nick Vs. Clark! (SPOILER ALERT)

Nick Fradiani, 29,  is an American singer from Guilford, Connecticut. On May 13, 2015 he became the winner of the 14th season of the singing reality show competition American Idol. Fradiani is the first winner from the Northeast region.

Fradiani was the vocalist of Beach Avenue which got recognition after they won in the Battle of the Bands at Mohegan Sun in 2011. They auditioned for the ninth season of America's Got Talent, but were eliminated during Judgement Week.

Clark Beckham, 23, is from White House, Tennessee. He was a musician in the streets of Nashville. He cites Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Michael Jackson and Michael Buble as his musical influences. He was annouced as the runner-up on May 13, 2015.

(IDOL LUST) Rayvon Owen!

Rayvon Owen, 23, is an American musician who became a finalist in season 14 of American Idol.

After being in the bottom 3 in the top 11, (which guaranteed 2 people would be eliminated), Rayvon was deemed safe. Rayvon was in the bottom 2 for four consecutive weeks, but emerged victorious, thanks to Season 14's Idol Fan Save, where the bottom 2 perform and AI fans vote on the spot for who should advance. Rayvon was the only recipient of the fan save in the entire season. He is currently in the Top 4, after Jacksonville's Tyanna Jones was evicted. Rayvon has his own music video, "Sweatshirt" which premiered in November, 2014.

(IDOL LUST) Season 14's Bad Boy, Quentin Alexander!

Quentin Alexander, 22,  is an American singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. SPOILER: He finished sixth place on the 14th season of singing talent reality show American Idol. The 'Top 5' finalists will be included in a 37-stop summer tour staring in July 2015 in Clearwater, Florida, and going across the country to California.

Alexander also works as a manager at French Connection, a men's clothier, in The Shops at Canal Place in New Orleans.

Last Week, a Heated exchange between judge Harry Connick Jr. and Alexander the noting the incident of Connick scolding a contestant was awkward. Ameircan Idol played up the exchange in a promotional spot aired on the same channel and confirmed they will replay the incident at the beginning of the Top 5 show as part of the recap of the previous week. An AI source also stated that for fairness purposes the judges and contestants have a strict wall of silence between them and only interact onstage so Connick Jr. and Alexander have not had contact since last week. Alexander was eliminated the next show the following week with what Music Times questioned as possibly the first time American Idol "went into an episode with what seemed to be a very clear agenda."

For the 5th year in a row,  I was there covering the IDOL Live Stop in the Seattle area. (My annual interviews have been postponed until Possible Fall or Winter) Last Friday, I attended the concert, which was the first show on the tour. The Venue selection was downsized from 2 years (2010, 2012) at the Key, 1 Year (2011) at Comcast in Everett, and the 1 Year (2009) at the Tacoma Dome (Adam Lambert's Year). This year was in all places Kent, WA (Season 10's Stefano Langone's Hometown) at the Showare Center. There were plenty of empty seats, and which also happened to be the same night as Paul McCartney at Safeco field. But of course since it have been 2 Months (May 16th was the Finale) since the  Idol Top 10 have been in the limelight. The advertising for the show was pretty minimal, but once again Idol must reinvent itself next season.

This week the Season 12 IDOL tour arrived in Seattle and as I have done for the past 5 years I will be there to Welcome these rising Stars to Seattle. This time they played at the Showare Center in Kent, WA. Two years ago,  I got to interview my Fave and  Kent, WA Native, Stefano. Here is that interview!

Stefano was a joy, not because he is the FULL Package (Looks and Voice) but like, (2007's) Blake Lewis, has made Seattlites Proud. The Full interview is below:

In the first time,  in Like Forever, These 3 Dudes (Burrell, Devin, Lazaro)  will not come close to being the American Idol or runner up, they are cute, especially this years Eye Candy, Lazaro. I also get the Gay vibe from all THREE, Perhaps it was the Nikki/Mariah effect?

(IDOL LUST) Idol's Colton Dixon shows Off his Arms and Tattoo!

Colton Dixon, 21, is an American singer from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He placed seventh on the eleventh season of American Idol. On January 29, 2013 Dixon released his album A Messenger, which sold 22,000 copies in its first week. It debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 200, number one on the U.S. Christian Chart and number one on the U.S. Gospel Chart. Dixon and Jessica Sanchez held a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila on February 14. Dixon and Josh Wilson (musician) are supporting Third Day on The Miracle Tour, the tour started on February 21st 2013 in Fairfax, Va and ends on May 19th 2013 in Orlando, Fl. Colton Dixon's sister Schyler is also on the tour on some dates.

Colton Dixon is set to appear on the twelfth season of American Idol on this weeks results show!

(IDOL LUST) Idol's Phillip Phillips CAUGHT Shirtless!

Phillip Phillips, 22, is an American singer-songwriter from Leesburg, Georgia. He won the eleventh season of American Idol on May 23, 2012. His coronation song "Home", released after his win, became the best selling of all coronation songs. His debut album The World from the Side of the Moon was released on November 19, 2012

(MK SCOTT) EXCLUSIVE: After nearly 4 years, MK catches up with Season 8 Idol, Kris Allen on Tour!

About 3 years ago, I posted an Interview I did back in July 2009 with then (Season 8) American Idol winner, Kris Allen, you know the guy who beat Adam Lambert? When we met in our last interview Allen was a cocky 24 year old (He looked 18 in person) kid on cloud nine and was about to go on a journey. Allen's music has been tested and succeeded as his Debut album in November 2009 started at #11 in its first week. Since then, Allen is getting raves for his music. On an episode of Glee, Mathew Morrison, sang a Kris Allen song, "Still Got Tonight"  that he recorded for his own Album. His friendship with Adam Lambert is still important to him and has showed him as a Gay ally, in fact, Allen even played a Star-studded Benefit for the Trevor Project in December 2011.

By this passed January, Allen (now 27) had to grow up fast as he announced his wife, Katy O'Connell, was expecting their first child and recovering from a Head On-collision that resulted in broken wrist that needed surgery. Days later he embarked on his Out Alive tour with his Right arm in a Brace. On Sunday, February 17th, I arrived at the Tractor Tavern in the Seattle Neighborhood of Ballard and spotted a more rugged and wiser Allen enter with his Pregnant wife, Katy (displaying her Baby Bump). It took him awhile before he recognized me from almost 4 years ago.

It's hard to believe it has been 4 years since Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were competing  together on Season 8 of American Idol. Of course Kris was the winner and Adam Lambert was the runner up. In July 2009, The IDOL Tour made its stop in Tacoma, WA to play the Tacoma Dome. Earlier in the day I met up with Kris Allen and had to ask him about the goals and Adam. This weekend Kris comes Back to Seattle to play the Tractor Tavern and I will be there to Reunite with Kris to do a follow Up. Here are highlights of the 2009 Interview:
