OUT: Steve Jones Axed from 'X Factor'?

Welsh stunner Steve Jones is getting axed as host of X Factor, UK's Mirror tabloid is reporting: “Steve keeps saying that living in LA is a dream come true. He loves the weather and the women, and he loves working on X Factor – it’s just a shame that the US public has not warmed to him. He got terrible reviews from critics when he started and things haven’t got better. There have been mistakes and he just doesn’t seem to have the knack for dealing with contestants. The executives at Fox have already decided not to renew his contract and so, short of a miracle happening, it is pretty much a done deal that he will not take part next season.”

SASSY: X-Factor Promo Has Gay Man with 'Attitude'!

The X-Factor doesn't premiere until September 21, but at least one of the contestants is doing some pre-show publicity. Xander sends us this note: I auditioned for The X Factor for the first U.S. season and decided to do so with "personality" aka, give Simon a taste of his own medicine. As soon as he started getting lippy with me, I got lippy right back. Most of the contestants like to kiss his ass because they want so desperately to be on the show but I didn't care...I'm one of those New York gays that DOES NOT like to be disrespected, even when there is a reported "5-Million Dollar Contract" on the line. I wanted Simon to know that, 'you don't mess with the gays'. Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherziner were fierce as usual and loved me so that was all that mattered.

X-Factor Australia's panel asks Paige Elliot Phoenix what made him wait until now to audition for the show.

"I've needed a whole bunch of things to really fall into place in my life. Probably the most significant thing was gender transition. I'm a female to male transsexual."
