(LIST) Most Influential Celebrity Philanthropists!

In the wake of hurricane Sandy, PeekYou, the people search experts, thought it was the perfect time to look at the celebrity philanthropists.

While frequently with these PeekScore lists are presented as contests of who has the most influential online, we instead propose this is simply a look at the digital footprints of each of these folks individually, and conveniently presented together. None is any better than the other, merely more present and impactful online (You can find the whole “digital footprint” concept outlined in brief above, and more in depth by clicking through here.)

What is PeekScore?: PeekScore is a rank from 1 to 10, assigned to every person. The higher someone’s score, the “more important” they are on the web. In calculating your PeekScore and updating it often, PeekYou takes into account your known presence and activity on the Internet, including but not limited to; your blogging, participation in social networks, the number of your friends, followers, or readers, the amount of web content you create, and your prominence in the news. For first time visitors a more in-depth explanation of what the PeekScore is, and how to increase your own, can be found by clicking through here.

They donated their Talents and kept the expenses low. The audience was more of a lesbian and older couples crowd.

GOODBYE, DOLLY: Harry Kullijian dies at 91!

http://images.broadwayworld.com/upload/18965/New%20Folder%202/28.jpg

Very sad to report that Harry Kullijian has died at the age of 91.

Yes, he had a nice, long life but if you ever saw he and his wife, Carol Channing together, they seemed like a couple of kids and you wanted them to have as much time together as possible.
They were sweethearts in junior high school but then spent the next 70 years or so apart – married others – before finding their way back to each other.

They married in 2003 and in 2005 started the not-for-profit Dr. Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Foundation for the Arts.

Their mission was to tell the world that exposure to arts would benefit students in other scholastic and social areas.

The couple’s late-in-life love story is beautifully featured in the documentary Carol Channing: Larger Than Life which opens in Los Angeles and New York on Jan. 2o with a wider release to follow.

“Every time he kisses me, I think I’m 12 years old again,” Channing says in the film.
There’s was a real love story and my condolences to Miss Channing for her loss. I’m so glad she and Harry found each other again. They were always so enchanting together.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Channing-Kullijian Foundation, 101 First Street #555, Los Altos, CA., 94022. Visit channingarts.org.

White
Betty White joins Luciana for "I'm Still Hot", a video meant to raise awareness of The Lifeline Program. However, it should really be billed as Luciana joins Betty White, because the Golden Girl and her muscle posse steal the show of course.

Each year this event has taken place it has drawn the attention of the entire community and the City. HATE ALERT: Shoppers Blast Retailers' Online Anti-Gay Ties!

Apple, Microsoft, and an array of other online retailers have found themselves at the center of a gay-rights battle, the New York Times reports. The retailers have been tied to an Internet marketer, the Charity Giveback Group, that receives a commission when it sends the retailers an online customer.

There's nothing unusual about the arrangement—except that part of that commission goes to a Christian charity selected by the customer, and the list of charities said customer has to choose from includes Christian groups that loudly oppose homosexuality. When a Seattle man found out that Microsoft customers who buy through the CGBG were then able to donate a portion of the commission Microsoft paid the CGBG to anti-gay causes, “I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding, Microsoft,’” he said. His online petition quickly resulted in the software firm cutting its ties to CGBG; more petitions spurred Apple and other firms to do the same. But CGBG says it’s just giving customers a choice, and Christian groups say they’re facing discrimination for Biblical values. Mike Huckabee, meanwhile, calls the petition effort “economic terrorism.”
