(BEEFCAKE) MK's Pick of the Week!

Men of Chelsea get ready — Tim Tebow is coming to town. The Denver Broncos traded the quarterback to the New York Jets today for some draft picks. Talk about a culture clash — a home-schooled virgin who talks God in every other sentence going to a city where gay marriage is legal.

Tebow will be the likely backup to Mark Sanchez, and there’s another contrast. Sanchez likes posing for fashion magazines, enjoys young coeds and is a big fan of show tunes. If they do a remake of the “Odd Couple” for Broadway, these guys can be the two new leads. Full story here via Outsports!

AGAIN: New York Bullying Victim Kills Herself!

A Staten Island 15-year-old whose family said she got bullied at school has died after walking in front of a bus holding a suicide note, reports the Daily News. Classmates had taken the belongings of Amanda Cummings and even made mean comments on her Facebook page after the incident, her uncle said. "I’m not going to tolerate this. I’m gonna go full force," said Keith Cummings. "Kids can't do this to each other." Amanda was a "beautiful, healthy, happy, normal young girl," said a cousin, but when it came to troubles at school, "she was pretty quiet about it." She was friends with an 18-year-old boy, which apparently made girls in her grade jealous. "She didn’t phrase it so much to the family but made little comments here and there ... in journals, online or through her Facebook page," said Brandy Henderson, adding that the family had been "trying to deal with" the issue. “I don’t feel anything towards (the bullies) except sadness that it had to lead to something like this."

KICK ASS: Trans Woman Beats Subway Rider for Calling Her a Man!

A video posted to YouTube shows a trans woman pursuing and then kicking and beating a man after he reportedly made a remark about her gender.

RagdollWrites the uploader of the video, titled 'TOSSED LIKE A RAG DOLL FOR TRYING IT!!!': "Morning after xmas on the nyc subway train, me and my girlfriends was walking to the train, dude shouted out 'thats a man' to my home girl and this is what happens when u disrespect a tranny in public".

Writes blogger TransGriot: "How many times have I warned you cispeople not to frack with transpeople?  It's not a good idea to get someone pissed off at you who not only has a little more strength than the average cis female, but is an estrogen based lifeform to boot. You also don't know how much bull feces that transperson may have gone through just trying to get through her day. Your attempt to make fun of them or disrespect them to prop up your own flagging self esteem may be the last straw that sets the transperson off and the next thing you know they're either reading you like a cheap novel, pulling out a can of whoop ass with your name on it or are doing both at the same time..."

SONNY DAY: Big Weiner welcomes Little Weiner!

We're guessing Anthony Weiner is finally using the word "baby" in a significantly more wholesome manner: The former congressman is now a dad, after wife Huma Abedin gave birth to son Jordan Zane yesterday. The babe weighed in at a little more than 7 pounds, a source tells the New York Post, and reportedly came 10 days early. The Post helpfully reminds us that Weiner owes this kid big-time: Sources say Abedin might have left her hubby, if not for the pregnancy.

(SOAP Q) NYU Prof Fired for Giving a 'D' to Franco!

Besides Hijacking GH, Franco seems to be taking over NYU too! Franco's stint as a student at NYU is the gift that keeps on giving. A professor who gave him a D in acting class say he got fired for doing so and is suing the university for his job back, reports the New York Post.

Jose Angel Santana says Franco skipped plenty of classes in most of his courses while at the school—and, specifically, didn't show up for 12 of Santana's 14 "Directing the Actor II" classes. But Santana says he was the only professor with the courage to give Franco a lousy grade. He says the school created a "Franco-friendly environment" to cash in on the actor's celeb status. “In my opinion, they’ve turned the NYU graduate film degree into swag for James Franco’s purposes, a possession, something you can buy,” he says. Neither the school nor Franco has commented on the lawsuit. Better look out, University of Houston, warns the Chronicle.

HELL BOUND: Satanic Hustler John Katehis Convicted in Murder of Gay NYC Journalist George Weber!

A Brooklyn jury has convicted 19-year-old John Katehis of second degree murder in a retrial of the 2009 killing of gay newsman George Weber, whom Katehis, a satanist, stabbed more than 50 times after arranging a meeting on Craigslist.

KatehisGay City News reports: Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi, the assistant district attorney who prosecuted the case, delivered an effective closing argument on November 14, telling jurors that Katehis, now 19, may have planned Weber’s murder and perhaps even tortured the 47-year-old victim before killing him.

Nicolazzi declined to comment in the wake of the verdict’s announcement.

Jurors began deliberating around noon on the 14th and announced they had a verdict by 3 p.m. on November 15. During their deliberations, they reviewed parts of the judge’s instructions to them and a few pieces of evidence. The speed of their verdict suggests they easily adopted the prosecution’s theory.

A previous trial resulted in a hung jury in October 2010.

DENIED: In 2009, 'The New Yorker' Rejected This Marriage Cover!

Crumb
The New York Observer has posted this never-published illustration by popular artist Robert Crumb which was displayed at the Venice Biennale in June. Crumb had intended it for the New Yorker in 2009, when New York was still in the throes of the battle for marriage equality: "Though an answer was never given on why the cover wasn’t run, Mr. Crumb suspects it was because the New Yorker was too afraid of offending people with the image of a (possible?) drag queen and a twee person of unidentifiable sex trying talking to a sweating official from the marriage license bureau, with a sign pointing to a “Genders Inspection” office next to his window."

HAPPY: Mario Cantone marries longtime partner in NY!

NEW YORK CITY - APRIL 24: (L-R) Actors Mario Cantone and Jerry Dixon arriving at the afterparty for 'Love and Revenge', a musical expedition into the Big Bad Jungles of the Heart, at the LAByrinth Theater Company on April 24, 2006 in New York City. (Photo by Donald Bowers/Getty Images for TFF)

This is incredibly cool news: Mario Cantone, best known for his role of Anthony on the Sex and the City television series and feature films, announced on The View Friday that he and partner Jerry Dixon have gotten married.

They have been together 20 years – far longer than any of Donald Trump’s three marriages, either marriage of Britney Spears, or Shannon Doherty’s three trips down the aisle.

“I got married for the same reasons you did,” Mario said to co-host Joy Behar. “We’re older now. We’ve been together 20 years. After 20 years you’re like, ‘Thanks for the anti-climactic honeymoon government!’ “

He added: “It was beautiful, just my family there. I love him. He’s a good man.”

KISS OFF: Gay Kiss Prompts Football Players to Walk Out of High School Musical!

A group of students, mostly male athletes, walked out of a Hartford High School production of Zanna Don't after a gay kiss made them uncomfortable, CBS Connecticut reports:
Rodriguez
Zanna Don’t!” depicts life at the fictitious Heartsville High, where students with academically-charged interests sit atop the popularity echelon while football players are the outcasts, and heterosexuals must conceal their sexual preference to avoid public scrutiny.

During the show, two men in the cast share a brief kiss — a lip lock that became a great point of contention.

“There was a public walkout by a bunch of students (when the kiss happened) … mostly male,” [Adam Johnson, principal of the Government and Law Academy] said. “It was visually evident (due to the jerseys the team was wearing) that a lot of football players got up and walked out. It was almost a symbolic kind of thing.”

EAT IT: 'Occupy' Protesters to Dress as Zombies!

Halloween is coming early for the Occupy Wall Street protesters. In what can only be described as a brilliant move that will help them be taken seriously, organizers are urging protesters to dress up like corporate zombies and eat Monopoly money, so that Wall Street denizens can “see us reflecting the metaphor of their actions,” a spokesman tells the AP.

The organizers have set up a table covered with makeup and fake money to help protesters take part. “It’s a cheeky and fun way to make the same point we’ve been making,” said one woman wearing the facepaint. She said she had quit her job to join the protesters, and would stay “as long as it seems useful.” The protests, which one participant says were “chaos” two weeks ago, are now increasingly organized, with a daily “general assembly,” and protocols for everything from medical care to legal help for those arrested. Protesters have even created their own newspaper, the "Occupied Wall Street Journal."
