Historic: “Life With Archie” comic book featuring same-sex wedding goes on sale!

Today is the release of the latest issue of Life With Archie and it’s a very special one indeed because it features the first same-sex/interracial wedding in comic book history, according to Greg in Hollywood!

One of the grooms is Riverdale’s first gay character, Kevin Keller, who ties the knot with Dr. Clay Walker, a physical therapist. The pair met met while Kevin was rehabilitating from an injury he suffered while in the military and stationed in Iraq.

They don’t get together as doctor and patient, however. They only begin dating after a chance encounter at an airport.

Yeah, Right!

AWESOME: Superman's Memory Crystals Inch Closer to Reality!

The “memory crystals” Superman used to hear messages left by his parents are no longer just science fiction. Researchers in Britain have found a way to store computer data on glass by reorganizing its atoms. A laser creates miniscule dots, known as voxels, in silica glass. Light passing through the glass is thus polarized and can be read using special equipment, the Telegraph reports.

The method is much longer-lasting than current methods of storing data: Today's hard-drives can only survive for a matter of decades and are susceptible to heat and moisture. The glass can tolerate temperatures as high as 1,800 degrees, isn’t damaged by water, and can survive for millennia—and researchers have already been able to fit a Blu-ray disc’s worth of data, about 50GB, on a piece of glass the size of a cell-phone screen. “We have developed this memory which means data can be stored on the glass and last forever. It could become a very stable and safe form of portable memory,” a researcher says.

CENSORED: Was Spidey Suit De-Sexed?

Entertainment Weekly takes a closer look at Andrew Garfield's spandex Spidey suit: When asked if there were long conversations about whether to err on the side of being too Ken-doll androgynous vs. too bulbously revealing (especially since the film is in 3-D!), Andrew Garfield laughed and blushed some more.

“Um, yeah, there are long discussions about this stuff,” he said. “There has to be because it’s got to be handled with sensitivity. It has to be non-offensive, which takes some tools.” His words, not mine. We assume he’s talking about tools of the costume-design variety.

Ever since the nippled Batsuit brouhaha of the ’90s, the makers of superhero movies have to be careful not to offend audience’s delicate sensibilities when it comes to their crimefighter’s naughty bits. They should be more focused on Thor’s hammer than… Thor’s hammer. Garfield says he and Webb were cautious about this. ”I don’t think it should be the main attraction of the costume.” he said. “I don’t think it should be what people are focusing on.” In other words, keep it classy.
