(EDDIE's RE-view) RPDR Season 5 - Episode 8!

Episode 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race - Season 5, titled “Scent of a Drag Queen” definitely made it obvious who this season’s ‘true professional’ is. And it’s not who you think it is, but I’ll get to that in a minute.

The mini-challenge for this episode was silly. But I enjoyed watching it nevertheless, and wouldn’t be against similar programming on the show in the future. That said, for the mini-challenge, RuPaul had the girls play her version of Memory called “Watcha Packin?” The girls had to match two male models out of a group of 22 wearing the same Andrew Christian
briefs. Many of the girls couldn’t stay focused watching these shirtless male models drop their trousers to reveal packages in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Hell, I couldn’t even stay focused. One girl paid attention more than the others, that girl being Ivy Winters. As the winner of this week’s mini-challenge, she got to make a phone call home.

(SPRING HUNKS) Benjamin McKenzie from SOUTHLAND!

Benjamin McKenzie, 34 , is an American actor and producer. He is best known for playing Ryan Atwood in the television series The O.C. and for playing Ben Sherman in Southland. He appeared in the films Junebug[1] and 88 Minutes which earned him a Sarasota Film Festival nomination. His first starring role in a feature film was in the 2008 indie release Johnny Got His Gun which garnered excellent reviews for his solo performance.

(SPRING HUNKS) Greg Louganis from SPLASH!

Greg Louganis, 53, is an American Olympic diver and author who won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games on both the springboard and platform. He is the only male and the second diver in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic Games. In 1984, he received the James E. Sullivan Award from the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States. Greg will one of the coaches on SPLASH.

(SPRING HUNKS) Bruno Tonioli from DWTS!

Bruno Tonioli, 57, is an Italian choreographer and TV personality who appears as a judge on the television dance competition Strictly Come Dancing for BBC TV in the UK, and its American adaptation Dancing with the Stars on ABC TV in the US, Tonioli co-created and appeared on the BBC talent show DanceX and its American adaptation, Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann.

(SPRING HUNKS) Sterling Beaumon from RED WIDOW!

Sterling Beaumon, 17, is an American actor . He is best known for his lead roles as Max Doyle in the 2008 film Mostly Ghostly: Who Let the Ghosts Out? and as young Benjamin Linus in the ABC television series, Lost. Beaumon recently had guest roles in both Law & Order SVU and Criminal Minds. He has also appeared as "Seamus" on the television show Clue, on The Hub channel.  Beaumon portrays the role of "Gabriel Walraven" in the ABC series Red Widow.

Ian Somerhalder, 34, is an American actor and model, best known for playing Boone Carlyle in the TV drama Lost and Damon Salvatore in the TV drama The Vampire Diaries.  In the summer of 2000, Somerhalder starred in the short-lived WB series Young Americans, a spin-off of Dawson's Creek. He played Hamilton Fleming, the son of the dean of a prestigious boarding school. Jeremy Jordan, 28, is an American actor and singer. He has performed on Broadway and in television and film, as well as in other theatrical productions. He is best known for the roles of Jack Kelly in the 2012 musical Newsies and Clyde Barrow in the 2011 musical Bonnie & Clyde. Jordan is now in the cast of NBC's Smash for season two playing Jimmy. He initially filmed episodes for Smash while simultaneously performing in Newsies. Sorry Folks, he is straight and married.

(Eddie's RE-view) RPDR Season 5 - Episode 6!

Titled, “Can I Get An Amen?”, Episode 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race - Season 5 had the girls, literally, singing for their lives. It all started with the mini-challenge, where the girls had to apply their makeup in the dark. When the lights came on, not one of the girls could say they looked presentable. Detox, however, could say she looked acceptable. And so did RuPaul, declaring Detox the winner of the mini-challenge.

For the main challenge, the girls had to record a “We Are The World” styled video, titled “Can I Get An Amen?” wearing their best 80s look. As the winner of the mini-challenge, Detox had to put the girls into three teams. In a very calculated move, Detox teamed Alyssa Edwards and Coco Montrese together to sing Verse One; Ivy Winters, Jade Jolie, and Jinkx Monsoon together to sing Verse Two; and Alaska, Roxxy Andrews, with herself to sing the Bridge.

(WINTER HUNKS) Jacob Artist from GLEE!

Jacob Artist, 20,  is an American actor, singer and dancer. He grew up dancing and at the end of high school he was accepted into Juilliard for dancing. However he turned it down to pursue his acting career. He joined the cast of the Fox television series Glee in the fourth season as Jake Puckerman, half-brother of regular character Noah "Puck" Puckerman.

Jensen Ackles, 35,  is an American actor and director. He is known for his roles in television as Eric Brady in Days of our Lives, which earned him several Daytime Emmy Award nominations, as well as Alec/X5-494 in Dark Angel and Jason Teague in Smallville. Ackles currently stars as Dean Winchester on the CW series Supernatural.

Blair Redford, 29, is an American actor. He is best known for playing Ethan on The Lying Game and Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on Passions.  Plus  Scott "Scotty" Grainger, Jr. on The Young and the Restless in July 2005, which he left in February 2006.

Redford also appeared in the third season of The CW's 90210 as a recurring character named Oscar.  

Christian Alexander, 22,  is an American actor, (Born in Greece) best known for his role as Kiefer Bauer on the American daytime drama General Hospital. In 2011, he was cast as Thayer  in ABC Family's The Lying Game.

Kuno Becker, 35, is a Mexican actor who has worked in telenovelas, Mexican cinema and U.S. cinema, but is best known for his portrayal of Ruben Berrizabal in Soñadoras and Santiago Muñez in the football movie Goal! and following sequels.

He is currently starring as Andres Ramos (Elena's Hunky Brother) on Dallas.

Goran Višnjić, 40, is a Croatian actor who has appeared in American and British films and television productions. He is best known for his role as Dr. Luka Kovač in the hit television series ER. Now credited as Goran Visnjic in his English-language work, he adopted the simplified spelling of his name when he came to the United States in the late '90s, believing it would be more accessible to American audiences. Goran is now on the new ABC's Red Widow.

Theo James,28, is an English actor, known for portraying Jed Harper in Bedlam.J ames made his television debut in A Passionate Woman, starring opposite Billie Piper.  He played Turkish diplomat Kemal Pamuk in one episode of Downton Abbey. He is set to play a lead role in the upcoming American series Golden Boy aired on CBS. Outside his acting career, James is a singer and guitarist with the London-based band Shere Khan.
