(SPOTTED) Hedwig Reunion!

CLASSIC: The four men who have played the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway in the past year are all together with the next man to take over the role.

In the center, of course, is John Cameron Mitchell who is currently inhabiting the role he wrote, originated Off-Broadway and on film. Flanking him (L-R) are Darren Criss who is soon to take over the role, Neil Patrick Harris who won the Tony Award as Hedwig, Andrew Rannells who took over for Harris and Michael C. Hall who replaced Rannells.

Las Vegas’ longest-running headliner, Frank Marino was surprised during his performance at The Quad Resort & Casino Tuesday night with a marriage proposal from his longtime partner, associate producer Alex Schechter. Riding the wave of the historic Supreme Court rulings last week in favor of marriage equality, Schechter surprised Marino by popping the question during his stage show, while the cast of Divas cheered on in support.

The couple, who celebrates their 20^th anniversary together, July 4, has yet to announce wedding plans, but one thing is certain: marriage most certainly won’t be a drag for these two.

During my recent trip to LA this past May, I was all set to join our pal, Tony Tripoli for my 2nd E! Studio visit at a taping of Joan River's Weekly chatfest, Fashion Police.

What I learned was that I needed to sign a release for a second show, besides Fashion Police. That second show was ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap and  that Bristol Palin had switched places with Mellissa Rivers.

I was sitting just 2 rows behind Bristol as cameras were aiming towards her as she is watching the taping of Fashion Police. Bristol looked thinner in person and was sitting next to one of  Melissa's Gay friends. This should be Fun! (Update; it was discussed why, Bristol was not standing in the sidelines to take Melissa's place as EP/Floor Director, she claimed she was uncomfortable doing that).

Bristol left Mid-way through the taping, and Joan actually came and chatted with the

invited audience. I got to chat with her this time, despite meeting her in December 2011. Joan was Gracious and posed for a photo.

Later the special Guest, Brad Goreski (It's Brad, Brad World) came on and later I ran to catch up to him as he was exiting, I previously heard his reputation  for being a Diva which later became true, or perhaps it was his publicist who declined my card to schedule an interview.

So, Who was the Biggest Diva of the Night? Bristol, Joan or Brad? It was a toss up between Bristol Vs. Brad.

Update: I did spot me in the FP scene in the studio audience with my black and bright green striped shirting standing out.  

(SPOTTED) Diana Ross and Mary Wilson on the same stage at opening night of “Motown” !

Sunday night is opening night of Motown, the Broadway musical about the history of the legendary Detroit-based record label that launched the careers of Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Stevie Wonder and so many more.

Jane Fonda was among the stars on hand and she tweeted just tweeted this photo from the curtain call. You see Robinson at the left next to Motown founder Berry Gordy who wrote the book for the show and on his right is Miss Ross. Right next to Diana is her one-time singing partner, former Supreme Mary Wilson.

These two have quite a history – and it’s not all good. Girlhood friends from the Detroit projects, they are founding members of the Supremes. But the last time these two ladies stood on a stage together was 30 years ago for Motown’s 25th anniversary special. Their reunion, which also included fellow Supreme Cindy Birdsong (who replaced the late Florence Ballard in the group) was a disaster. Ross and Wilson clashed and there was some elbowing of Wilson out of the spotlight by Ross.

In 2000, they tried to reunite for a tour but negotiations fell apart amid hard feelings between Ross and Wilson.

It’s nice to see them on the same stage again – not sure how friendly they were but when I find out, will certainly share!

 Congratulations to the fabulous Cyndi Lauper – one of the greatest allies the LGBT community has ever had – on the opening of the new musical Kinky Boots.

Lauper wrote the songs for the musical about a shoe factory owner who meets a drag queen.
The show has a book by Harvey Fierstein and is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell.

Andy Murray has plenty of reasons to be savoring his win on Sunday in the final of The Sony Open. He not only won the prestigious tournament for the second time, he became the first man in ts history to survive a match point against him in the final.

Nice to see MSNBC newsman Thomas Roberts enjoying a vacation in Costa Rica with his handsome hubby Patrick Abner.

The couple were married last year after more than a decade together. They honeymooned in Brazil but appear to already be on a second honeymoon.

There are plenty of people who think multiple-Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte is not the brightest swimmer in the pool. But he is certainly one of the hottest. This new promo for his upcoming E! reality show proves he looks even better in a wet T-shirt than in a speedo.

(SPOTTED) Neil Patrick Harris on Disney cruise ship!

We all know that Neil Patrick Harris was on a cruise with David Burtka last week when a silly National Enquirer story came out saying they were on the outs and that a custody battle loomed. NPH diffused it all with a simple tweet saying the tabloid was “Cray Cray.”

He’s also just tweeted this photo which lets us know that they weren’t on an Atlantis cruise!
“Just finished a truly magical week with the family on the newest Disney cruise ship, the Fantasy. Ran into this guy.” (see photo above)  Something tells me Walt Disney and NPH woulda gotten along just great.

(SPOTTED) Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper in Rio!

 

The New York Post reports that Anderson Cooper has been enjoying the post-Carnival activities in Rio with boyfriend Ben Maisani and his good pal, Bravo’s Andy Cohen. (hey I thought Andy and Anderson were dating, The BF is never seen in the photos)

They are pictured here on Saturday attending the samba schools’ parade, featuring floats and dancers.
