 On Saturday, Miss Channing was feted in style as the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert presented Carol Channing’s 95th Birthday! In Celebration of a Broadway Legend.

It was a star-studded performance was produced and directed by Chad Hilligus with music direction and orchestrations by Steven Baker and choreography by Charlie Williams.

Seated in the front row of the beautiful McCallum Theatre, Miss Channing was treated to a retrospective of her legendary career featuring live performances, video clips and video tributes.

The presenters appearing live on stage to share their affection and recollections included Lucie Arnaz, Alan Cumming, Florence Henderson, Gavin MacLeod (who read a message from President Barack Obama) and Lily Tomlin.

It is no mistake that WPPS has launched the careers of many rising star DJs, and featured high-caliber DJs/producers like Dave Audé, Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone, Freemasons, Rosabel, Manny Lehman, Tony Moran and the late Peter Rauhofer. This year the 25th Anniversary event again assembles some of the best DJs and music producers in the world; DJ Shane Stiel, DJ/Producer/Remixer Chris Cox, 2x Grammy Nominated DJ/Producer Tony Moran, DJ Chi Chi LaRue, DJ Joshua D, DJ Superstar Manny Lehman, DJ Gustavo Scorpio, DJ Alex Acosta, DJ Ivan Gomez, DJ Dani Toro, DJ GRIND, DJ Wayne G, DJ Ralphi Rosario, DJ Guy Scheiman, DJ/Producer Abel and the debut of Bent Collective featuring DJ/Producers Danny Verde and Steven Redant.

Many things naturally come to mind when we think of the month of April; the rain showers, the beginning of spring, Easter, spring break, and yes - taxes! But, if you are active in the gay circuit party scene, April 2014 means only one thing - the 25th Anniversary of Jeffrey Sanker Presents White Party Palm Springs (WPPS). The largest gay dance music festival in the world, White Party will play host to an estimated 30,000 gay men from across the globe April 25-28 in celebration of its milestone silver anniversary. "What began as a gathering for 300 of my closest friends celebrating the rites of spring 25 years ago has evolved into men from across the world coming together and redefining the meaning of desert heat," said Jeffrey Sanker, founder and producer, in a press statement. A real testament of the evolution of White Party and to highlight its principles of unity and celebration, commitment to excellence and leading edge creativity over the past 25 years, Sanker has created the first ever White Party Palm Springs ICON Awards recognizing a select group who best embody the spirit of White Party.

Queer Eye’s “Culture Expert,” #Jai Rodriguez talks candidly with about everything from Life after #Bravo, dating in Weho, dealing with Gossip Queens, and what’s next for the multi-talented hottie (including his hosting job at #WPPS - White Party Palm Springs this year). Things get even hotter as he talks about his favorite body parts, enjoying the #HoneyHole and even invites TT into his bedroom to show her where all the “magic” happens.

Jai Rodriguez, the GAY Icon likes “fish!” In the past year he has invited seven (7) different “ladies” of all colors to stay in his bedroom! “I even had to separate them because they are so territorial they would fight and beat each other up. I finally got so tired of cleaning out their containers I had a custom tank with filtrated compartments made so they wouldn’t hurt each other.” Ok, let’s be honest, if you’re even as half as twisted like I am, you were totally thinking, “it rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again” from Silence of the Lambs.

Luckily for us, the New York born Italian and Puerto Rican choir boy we all fell in love with 10 years ago still likes dudes and doesn’t like that kind “fish” (the lady kind). He’s just a (Beta) fish hoarder. He started collecting them after he starred in San Diego REPertory Theatre’s “In the Heights” where his boss’ name was Mr. Beta. “I fell in love them because they are so regal looking with their long, colorful, and dramatic fins. They look like they are wearing a silk kimono. If there was a drag queen fish, it would totally be the Beta.”

Now that we’ve cleared up that rumor up, let’s talk about what Jai Rodriguez has been up to since Queer Eye. As mentioned above, the multi-talented member of the “Fab Five” has been a busy fellow.

(OUTscene AMERICA) INTER-view: Getting Candid with Jaymes Vaughan; 'A Total Doll'!

You know him as the gay-half of the Chippendale’s duo that won America’s hearts during the 21st season of “The Amazing Race”. People all of the country fell in love with Jaymes Vaughan and his BFF, James Davis as they tried to win the grand prize to help Jaymes’ father battle a rare form of cancer. Though the show may be over, it looks like Jaymes Vaughan’s Amazing Journey is just beginning. Following his team’s respectable second place finish, the heart throb is in high-demand.

“It’s unbelievable the response we (he and his TAR teammate) have received. I feel like a Kardashian!” he jokes. “Amazing Race has opened so many doors for us. We’ve been asked to make public appearances, speak at charity events, been on several TV shows (including “Ellen”), and were just finished filming the pilot for a reality series AND a travel show.” Though all of the high profile media events are exciting for Jaymes, what he has really enjoyed the most is educating young people.

“I hope to be able to take advantage of a platform the show has given me. I want to be an example for anyone who doesn’t feel like they fit in. As a fourteen-year-old growing up in rural Chesterfield County, Virginia I had no one to look up to. My mama told me I better not be gay and my church told me gay people would go to hell. I also had a best friend who killed himself because he didn’t fit in. I know what it feels like to be hopeless. Let me tell you there is always hope. If someone like me can make it, anyone can.”

FREEZED: Cathedral City Police Raid Barracks Bar on Closing Night of Leather Pride Weekend !

Barracks Bar in Palm Springs was raided by police last night during a beer bust for Palm Springs Leather Pride, which was happening this weekend.

Leatherati writes: Breaking news...we just received a text indicating the Barracks Bar in Cathedral City, CA was shut down this afternoon by the local police department for "capacity" issues. The closure came during one of the busiest Sunday beer busts of the year with the town crowded with attendees to Palm Springs Leather Pride. The Barracks has had ongoing difficulties with the Cathedral City police department over capacity issues and displayIng porn in the bar. We'll update as we get more info.

A video posted online supports Leatherati's claim. As of yet, we have heard of no reported arrests.
