SERIOUSLY: Nick Jonas Tells Advocate 'None of the (Single) Jonas Brothers are Gay!'

The Advocate's Brandon Voss asks Nick Jonas what impact it might have on his career if a Jonas brother came out of the closet. Jonas replies that the question doesn't apply:JonasThe amazing thing about our fans is that they’re incredibly supportive about everything that we do, but I have to separate us from the equation because the three of us aren’t gay. (The screaming brother is Married and will not come OUT). If someone in our position came out, I’d hope that support would carry over and that their fans would love them just the same.

Jonas adds that despite his Evangelical Christian upbringing he has no issue with gay people: My upbringing was faith-based, but we believed you should love all others as you want to be loved, because everyone should be treated equally. That’s helped me have an understanding of people on different journeys and in different walks of life. At the end of the day, we’re all the same, because we all want to be loved.

OUTED: Ricky Gervais makes a Jodie Foster lesbian joke during Globes monologue!

Host Ricky Gervais, who offended just about the entire ballroom last year, takes the stage and inexplicably draws Foster into thick of it in the first 60 seconds: “I mustn’t mention Mel Gibson this year. Not his private life, his politics, his recent films, and especially not Jodie Foster’s “Beaver.” I haven’t seen it myself. I’ve spoken to a lot of guys who haven’t seen it either. But doesn’t mean it’s not any good.”

LOADED: Billy Bean says it will take “one special (and Hot) guy” to come out while still playing majors!

It was so exciting when retired American soccer pro David Testo came out earlier this year.

But he is hardly a household name.

We are going to need an active player in one of the three big U.S. team sports: baseball, basketball or football to come out to really make a breakthrough.

Hopefully that player will be enveloped with all kinds of love and support and would be soon followed by scores more just like him.

Because we KNOW they are there.

‘It’s going to take maybe just one special guy who can really move that ball forward,’ retired baseball pro Billy Bean told Greg in Hollywood.

Billy came out after his playing days were over and still is only one of two baseball pros to ever do so.

OVER: Sinead's 3rd Marriage Ends after 18 days!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get much worse than Kim Kardashian and her 72-day marriage, along comes Sinead O'Connor to beat that—by 54 days. Yes, O’Connor’s marriage to Barry Herridge is over just 18 days after it began, the singer revealed yesterday on her website. The couple had wed in Las Vegas on Dec. 8, People notes.

O’Connor writes that “the marriage was kyboshed” within three hours by “certain people” in Herridge’s life who opposed it, based on things they read about O’Connor in the media. The rambling (and grammatically challenged) post goes on to mention “a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink.” O’Connor writes that Herridge “was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience and also by the attitude of those close to him toward our marriage. It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear.” She notes that she still loves Herridge and calls him a “wonderful man,” but says that they “made a mistake rushing into getting married, for altruistic reasons."

Memo to Sinead, Come OUT already!

PHONY: Lautner 'People' Magazine Coming Out Story is a Fake!

Tlautner_gay
A mock-up of a forthcoming People magazine cover on which Twilight star Taylor Lautner announces he's "Out & Proud" is a fake, a People rep tells Gossip Cop: A rep for the magazine confirms to Gossip Cop exclusively that it’s “absolutely fake.”

The fraudulent issue, which reads, "Tired of rumors, the Twilight star opens up about his decision to finaly come out. 'I'm more liberated, and happier than I've ever been'", borrows its Brad Pitt/Carnie Wilson sidebar from a May 2006 People cover, according to GS.

The cover fooled many, however, including hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons: Producer Russell Simmons was fooled by the fake, tweeting, "proud of Taylor Lautner for his bravery and his courage." He later responded to being duped, saying, " Disappointed that people would joke about someone coming out about their sexuality. Let Taylor Lautner be whoever he wants to be..."

Maybe this was a test and preview of things to Come?

WET Soggy day for S.F.'s Veterans Day parade!

For the first time, the Gay Freedom Day Marching Band led the San Francisco Veterans parade, which also included Girl Scouts and high school ROTC students, Reports the SF Chronicle.
The parade attracted only a handful of spectators as it wound up Market Street and over to City Hall. Parade Marshal Chairman Glen Raswyck said it was the first time the parade had been held on a weekday.

Passers-by stopped to look and clap for the line of cars, high school bands and veterans.

Jeremy George, who recently moved to the United States, came to Market Street dressed in the blue uniform of the British Royal Air Force Police, in which he served for several years. "I thought I'd come down and pay my respects," he said, adding that he hoped to join the parade.

Veterans from World War II through the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan participated, and newly elected Mayor Ed Lee strolled along the route, waving to the crowds who clapped as he passed.

DENIAL: Rugby Player Claims He Turned Gay and Became Hairdresser After Suffering Stroke!

Chris Birch, a Welsh former rugby player, says that after breaking his neck during practice while doing a backflip, and then suffering a stroke, he woke up gay and decided to become a hairdresser.

BirchIt's a rather bizarre story from the UK's Daily Mail: Before the accident Chris was planning on settling down with his girlfriend, although they were having a break from each other at the time of his accident. He worked in a bank and spent his weekends watching sport and drinking beer with his rugby friends. But after the stroke he found he was no longer interested in sport and had little in common with his old friends. He quit his job to become a hairdresser and started dating a man he met at a club night.

Birch says his neurologist told him the stroke may have opened a new area of his brain.

Said Birch: "It sounds strange but when I came round I immediately felt different. I wasn't interested in women any more. I was definitely gay. I had never been attracted to a man before - I'd never even had any gay friends. But I didn't care about who I was before, I had to be true to my feelings...Suddenly, I hated everything about my old life. I didn't get on with my friends, I hated sport and found my job boring. I started to take more pride in my appearance, bleached my hair and started working out. I went from a 19st skinhead to a 11st preened man. People I used to know barely recognized me and with my new look I became even more confident.'

OUT: California Lawmaker Comes Out of the Closet, Cites Gay Bullying!

Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani tells the Stockton Record that she's gay: GalgianiGalgiani, D-Livingston, said that by coming out now, she hopes to send a positive message to young people who are struggling to come to terms with their sexual identity.

"It sickens me that young people would think about taking their lives because of who they are," Galgiani said. Galgiani, 47, said it was not until well into adulthood, after she was elected to represent the 17th Assembly District in 2006, that she knew she was gay.

The Sacramento Bee adds: Galgiani's spokesman confirmed the report, saying the statement came during an interview on high-speed rail and other issues.

Galgiani's announcement brings the total number of openly gay state lawmakers to eight. Her addition would make the Legislature's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Caucus, formed in 2002, the country's largest caucus recognizing openly gay legislators in the country, according to the gay rights advocacy group Equality California. Galgiani, who is termed out of the Assembly next year, is planning to run for a competitive Senate seat in the Central Valley next year.

OUT: Welsh Rugby Player Jed Hooper Comes Out of the Closet!

Jed Hooper, a Welsh pro rugby player, has come out of the closet: HooperThe 22-year-old back row forward came out to family and friends earlier this year. And Hooper has now spoken exclusively to the Evening Post in the hope that his story can help other young rugby players come to terms with their sexuality.

Said Hooper: "I met someone earlier this year who said he could not be with someone who was in the closet. That, basically, was the catalyst that I needed. Before that, I think I had already told about ten friends and their reaction was very positive so that gave me an inkling of what might happen. And I also thought if the crap really hits the fan then at least there are ten people on my side!...I was never going to do it bit by bit, that would have been too drawn out, so I decided to text everyone and also put it on Facebook. I was horribly nervous. I wrote and rewrote the text four or five times, and I had my finger on the 'send' button for ages before I finally pushed it. The text basically said something along the lines that 'I've been hiding it and fighting it for too long, and I can't hide any more. If you can accept me this way then great ... and if you can't then I don't need you and you can get lost!' I then cried my eyes out as I was thinking to myself 'what have you done?, but very quickly I must have had 40 replies and all of them were positive."

UNITED: Quinto says reaction to his coming out has been “supportive”!

In an interview earlier today with MTV News in support of his new movie Margin Call, the
Quinto said the reaction to his coming out has “been enormously supportive — universally, unanimously supportive.”

He added: “I’m really grateful for that.”

Zachary, best known for his role on Heroes and as Spock in the Star Trek movie, expressed well-deserved pride in the way he decided to share this news with the public.

“I feel like I made that declaration so that I can be a part of this conversation moving forward,” he said “I did it in my own time, on my own terms, in my own words. That’s exactly the way that I wanted to do it, and I’m really proud of that. When the time is right to continue the conversation forward, I certainly will do that. That’s why I took those steps in the first place.”

OUT: Zachary Quinto Is Gay!

Zachary_QuintoThere have always been whispers, but now we know for sure: Zachary Quinto, the fabulously understated thesp who made pointy ears sexy again, has come out as a gay man in the pages New York Magazine. Speaking about his acclaimed turn in Angels In America, Quinto said: ...[it was] the most challenging thing I've ever done as an actor, and the most rewarding ... And at the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done, and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed.
I had heard from sources that he was going to come out when he was ready and so it appears. Even the source was glad it was finally OUT.

This morning, Zachary published a lovely note on his blog, expanding upon his reasons for coming out. Excerpts below:
when i found out that jamey rodemeyer killed himself - i felt deeply troubled.  but when i found out that jamey rodemeyer had made an it gets better video only months before taking his own life - i felt indescribable despair ... it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it - is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.

...we are witnessing an enormous shift of collective consciousness throughout the world.  we are at the precipice of great transformation within our culture and government.  i believe in the power of intention to change the landscape of our society - and it is my intention to live an authentic life of compassion and integrity and action.  jamey rodemeyer's life changed mine.  and while his death only makes me wish that i had done this sooner - i am eternally grateful to him for being the catalyst for change within me.  now i can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world.  that - i believe - is all that we can ask of OURselves and of each other.

NOT OUT: Taylor Lautner, Not Gay!

GQ Australia asks Taylor Lautner about his sexuality: Taylor-lautner-gq-australia-1011-3"[My publicist] Liz [Mahoney] says I don't talk about my personal life," he told the magazine when asked about a rumoured split from his Abduction costar Lily Collins.

Undeterred, GQ turned their attention to the rumour that the owner of People's fourth ‘most amazing body' prefers Team Edward to Team Women -- a rumour that began when Lautner was spotted dining with gay Hollywood magnates Gus Van Sant and Dustin Lance Black.

"No, definitely not," Hollywood's highest paid teen said when asked whether either Van Sant or Black made a pass. "I think they know I'm straight. But they're great guys. They're a lot of fun." Adding rather blandly: "It's not a coincidence that there was a writer, a director and an actor at dinner."

Hello, if he claimed that publicist didn't want him to talk about his personal life, why would confirm it? Plus they certainly wouldn't passes a a business meeting! So what do you think?
