OUTscene: (PRIDE 2011) Parade and PrideFest 'Totally Awesome'!

OUTview was a PROUD media sponsor of the pride parade as MK rode PROUDLY in the parade with Lincoln Rose and Ethan McMahon in a1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder Convertible. No Big stars this year but the real Star was the car (driven by Seattle attorney, Douglas Titus)!

On the corner of 4th and Bell, our partners at ITV was capturing and streaming LIVE on Ustream and OUTview  (Look for Highlights coming soon).

In the The Seattle Times: Adam Rosencrantz, board president of parade sponsor Seattle Out and Proud said, estimated crowds at 400,000, in excess of last year's 250,000. "It's an exciting time," he said. "I think one message for us to remember is why we're doing it (Pride festivities). In this country, we can do this. But there are places around the world where if anybody finds out you're gay, it's punishable by death or life in prison."

Once we got to Seattle Center for Pridefest, we were amazed how crowded it was already. MK and the Team shared the booth with our Pridefest Sponsor, Blue Sky Cleaners. Many Thanks to Jessica and her team for their support.

One of the headliners was 2010 IDOL Runner up Crystal Bowersox singing her hit, 'Farmer's Daughter' and a special request for a Tracy Chapman Hit.

Many Hot shirtless guys in underwear, buying underwear, T-Shirts, Lesbians Toppless and  running around nude in the international Fountain. It was an 'Totally Awesome' Day!

OUTscene: (PRIDE 2011) The Guys were Hotter than the Weather at the Capitol Hill Pride Block Party!

The 3rd Annual Capitol Hill Block party was Saturday and the weather went from warm to cold, sunny to cloudy. We were amazed that many more people were there than last year. 2 stages (One Latino, one acoustic) plus Julia's beer garden provided entertainment, food and non profits. The guys on the left were great eye candy! Later I walked past the Dyke March.

The 4th Annual Forbidden Fashion Show kicked off this year with a James Bond themed event titled “Live Another Night” on Saturday, May 21 at the Seattle Art Museum. The show also featured men’s underwear and swimwear from well known designers such as Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Diesel as well as international favorites Bom-Bom, James Tuttor and Tribe from Australia.

Producer and director Eduardo Khawam said, “It’s sexy, beautiful and a little bit titillating – that’s why I call it forbidden fashion.”

OUTscene America: Chicago Red Dress Party attracts hundreds, raises thousands!

They came, they saw and they wore red. With the reviews now in for Chicago's first-ever Red Dress Party, held Saturday, April 16th event was a clear success in its effort to continue an ever-expanding national tradition of raising awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and funds to counter its continued spread, reports ChicagoPride.com.

According to Kyler Powell, the party's executive producer, the event attracted some 300 eager partygoers -- almost all of whom decked out in their crimson attire of choice -- and raised approximately $20,000 for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and the Equality Project. While these numbers fell short of their lofty goals, Powell said it was an impressive showing for its first time out of the gate nonetheless.

OUTscene: (PDX PRE-view) Scandals Kicks Off Anniversary Celebration Thursday

The word “institution” is defined as “something or someone firmly associated with a place or thing,” a significant organization in a society or culture. Scandals—also lovingly referred to as Portland’s gay Cheers—certainly meets the criteria. It’s been around for a great while, was groundbreaking, and caused quite a scandal when it moved to its second location (now Kenny & Zuke’s), becoming the first gay bar in Portland with sidewalls consisting of large, see-through windows. Keep in mind this was back when most queer watering holes were covered up and dimly lit speakeasies, Details from Just Out..

Three decades and another move later, Scandals remains a trailblazer. In an age when most gay bars rely on DJs to provide canned dance tunes, Scandals is introducing a series of live music acts every Thursday throughout the summer in honor of its 32nd anniversary—christened, fittingly enough, Thursday Night Live!
