PERFECT: Matt Bomer to Play Blaine's Older Bro on 'Glee'!

Bomer_crissMichael Ausiello at TV Line reports that Matt Bomer has been cast in Glee, as Blaine's older brother: This is big for a number of reasons. Among them:
Since this will be the first time we meet any of the other Andersons, we might finally learn a bit about Blaine’s apparently gorgeous kin. This will also be the first time a lot of people will get to hear Bomer sing — because yes, natch, his character will get in on his sib’s musical number.

Apparently Bomer can sing. TV Line has a clip from the 2010 Kennedy Center Honors.

In related news, here's the full preview clip from the upcoming Glee Michael Jackson episode, in which Criss sings "Wanna Be Startin Somethin'".

SUCCESS: Darren Criss a huge draw on Broadway!

Darren-Criss_240.jpg

Darren Criss only had a three-week run on Broadway in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying but he proved himself to be quite a box office attraction on The Great White Way.

Entertainment Weekly reports that with the Glee star in the lead, the show took in $1.3 million per week for a haul of more than $4 million.

Aside from Daniel Radcliffe’s final week in the show, an anomalous nine-show week that grossed $1.9 million, the revival had the three most lucrative weeks of its 11-month run with Criss in the leading role.
The ticket sales have consistently been at or near the production’s potential gross.

Matthew Morrison must and all the rest of the gang must be so proud!!!

LOVE MATCH: Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell to Play Rachel's Gay Dads on 'Glee'!

Rachel Berry's (Lea Michele) dads on Glee will finally make an appearance, TVLine's Michael Ausiello reports: A show insider confirms to TVLine exclusively that onetime Law & Order: Criminal Intent detective Jeff Goldblum and Broadway veteran Brian Stokes Mitchell have been tapped to play Hiram and LeRoy Berry, the adoptive parents of Lea Michele’s character.

The duo will first appear in the show’s Valentine’s Day episode — which as luck would have it will actually air on Feb. 14, and is titled “Heart.” And yes, they will sing.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Ricky Martin Tweets about 'GLEE'

Glee’s Cory Monteith tweeted this adorable photo of himself with guest star Ricky Martin!

Monteith referred to him only as ‘our new Spanish teacher.’

Monteith’s co-star Matthew Morrison didn’t share any photos but he did say of Martin via Twitter: “What a great guy, having a lot of fun shooting our scenes together.”

He also has high expectations for his return to Broadway in Evita.

SECRETS: Darren Criss shares excitement over “Business”!

http://www.gay.net/sites/gay.net/files/imagecache/stories/stories/Criss_RT.jpg

Glee star Darren Criss has just replaced Daniel Radcliffe in the Broadway production of How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
But he has not given up his day job.
Darren is stepping in for just three weeks before Nick Jonas takes over.
Mr. Criss said hello to fans via Twitter this morning and made a personal video for us. Here is a LINK to that (I would embed it but it plays automatically and that drives me crazy!)

F-AB-ULOUS: Overstreet Returns to ‘Glee’ as a Stripper!

Tonight's going to be a big one for Glee, because not only does Sam (Chord Overstreet) return to the show after a hiatus, but when the characters meet him again he's on stage shaking his money maker for cash.

As you'll recall, Overstreet was cut from the current season, and the official word was that the 22-year-old declined an offer to return as a recurring character so that he could focus on his music. In the show the story was that Sam's father—who'd lost his job and house, leaving the family living out of a roadside motel—had found a new job in another city and they'd all moved. There was always a chance for the character to come back, though, and tonight's the night. And from the 30-second trailer below it seems as though Sam may be doing a little side gig to help pay the family's rent. This is only strange because (we think) Sam was supposed to be younger than the other McKinley High students, which means he's a minor stripping at a nightclub, and even in Glee-town that sounds illegal.

HOT: Ricky Martin to be “Glee” guest star!

TV/Line reports that superstar Ricky Martin is in negotiations to guest star on Glee early next year.
I love how an insider is describing his character: “The hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio.”

Ricky, who will be on Broadway next year in Evita, will reportedly be spotlighted in two big musical numbers. This, I believe, is his first television acting role since his long ago stint on ABC’s General Hospital.

BEEFCAKE: Chord Overstreet CAUGHT shirtless!!!

Chord Overstreet fans (like me!) are thrilled that the blond and beautiful hunk with that gorgeous trout mouth is returning to Glee soon. Until that happens, we get a nice eyeful with this new photo shoot from Tyler Shields who writes: You will never meet another human being like Chord Overstreet and that is an understatement! I have some incredible shots of him this is just a tease!

CLIMAXing: 'Glee' Goes All the Way!

Glee
TV Line's Michael Ausiello has dumped a number of big spoilers from Glee's upcoming sex-themed episode, which promises some groundbreaking gay events.

According to Ausiello, the show "finds two of the show’s supercouples — Rachel and Finn, and Kurt and Blaine — going all the way."

GustinAnd: No sooner does Grant Gustin’s gay Warbler debut than he sets his sights on Blaine. And what he wants, I suspect he’ll get: He’s got charisma to spare and tons of chemistry with Darren Criss. Fun fact: He’s not the only obstacle to Klaine sex — the other is Kurt’s wardrobe. Specifically, “All of his layers.”

When Sebastian invites Kurt and Blaine out to local gay haunt Scandal, Kurt runs into his old nemesis at the bar. Apparently, transferring to a new school has done wonders for the bully’s disposition. He’s mellowed out considerably and coming to grips with his sexuality. It’s my favorite scene of the episode and should fire up those Kurt-Karofsky ‘shippers out there (and I know you’re out there).

More from Ausiello at TV Line.

TRAGIC: Glee Singer's Dad Stabbed to Death!

Glee singer Charice Pempengco's father was killed after what police believe was a chance encounter with an angry drunk in her hometown in the Philippines. Police say Ricky Pempengco accidentally brushed up against a drunk man in a store, who stabbed him with an ice pick and fled, AP reports.

Pempengo was estranged from his 19-year-old daughter, who had a recurring role in Glee's second season and is on her way to becoming a megastar in Asia. Her parents split up when she was three, after what her mother says were fights caused by her father's drug abuse. “I loved him and I will still love him. He’s still my Dad after all," the singer posted on Twitter.

Glee” newcomer Grant Gustin: “a new kind of gay character”!

On next week’s episode of Glee, a new Dalton Academy Warbler by the name of Sebastian will do his best to shake up the Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine relationship by making a play for Blaine (Darren Criss).

The homewrecker is being played by Grant Gustin who talked to Billboard Magazine a bit about his character who sounds like quite a piece of work!

“Sebastian is new to Dalton,” he explains.

“He’s a gay character, obviously, but he’s kind of a new type of gay character. He’s someone you wouldn’t necessarily know is gay unless you asked him, but he’d be the first person to tell you. He’s very confident and comfortable with who he is and what he wants. Darren was that new confident strong gay character, and Sebastian is taking that a step further. He’s a guys-guy, just a dude who happens to be gay. He’s a lacrosse player, he’s popular. He’s after Blaine, obviously, and he’s also trying to take the place that Blaine had as the leader of the Warblers. He’s been referred to as a villain, which I guess is true in the sense that he’s going to get what he wants and he doesn’t care who he steps on along the way, but he does so with a smile on his face.

SCORE: Darren Criss Sings 'Last Friday Night!

Criss

Darren Criss returns to Katy Perry in next week's Glee in this clip, which I wish was a lot more visually regretful (as the song's lyrics suggest) instead of the usual jumping around in the music room, but Criss can brighten any Friday. Happy Friday!

BACK: Groff returning to “Glee”

On the heels of Chord Overstreet finalizing his plans to return to the show, it’s been revealed that OUT  Broadway star Jonathan Groff will return as Jesse St. James.

Executive producer Ryan Murphy shared the news at a press event this week celebrating the taping of the show’s 300th song.

The openly gay performer, whose Broadway credits include his Tony nominated role in Spring Awakening, appeared on the London stage last year in the West End production of Deathtrap.

His Glee character has appeared in 10 previous episodes over the show’s first two seasons. St. James was the male lead of the rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline, and was the love interest of Lea Michele’s character of Rachel. This time, he will be the vocal coach of Vocal Adrenaline.
