SOAP Q: Laura RETURNS (to Y & R)!

Genie Francis, best known as Laura from ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL, will join THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as a series regular at the end of May according to EW.com.

Francis will play the mother of Ethan Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), who was declared dead outside his dad’s wedding last month and is now appearing as a ghost on the show. The addition of Francis should reignite speculation that Cane will remain an integral part of Genoa City. His ghost is expected to continue appearing through the month.

In a twist, Francis is playing the Ex-wife of Colin (played by her GH co-star, Tristian Rogers), parents of Ethan, the same name of of the Love child of ther Ex GH spouses (Luke and Holly)! Get it?

Francis will begin taping in a month.
