I am totally Keeping my fingers crossed that all of my favorites will be in the Top 10 (The group that goes on tour and I will most likely interview a 3rd of them this summer for the 3rd straight year.
1. James Durbin: His chances are just as good as Adam Lambert.
2. Jacob Lusk: If Ann Wilson can sing R and B, why not a Luthor vandros type singing Heart? .
3. Scott McCreery: Does slow and steady win the race? He knows who he is and what he wants!
4. Casey Abrams: He's 20 with a Full beard sing Kurt Cobain! The Wild Card guy brings an edge of danger to what can be pretty predictable. Would love to hear the band he formed with Stefano, Durbin and McDonald.
5. Paul McDonald: Quirky, amiable and easy to like, this laid-back songster could be the next Joe Cocker!
6. Pia Toscano: She’s still the top female contender in a field that seems to be dominated by the guys. Again, regardless of the outcome, she looks to have a long singing career ahead of her.
7. Stefano Langone: Seattle Boy was one of the Best of the night, even with the Dui arrest story coming out. He became a contender!
8. Thia Megia: A one-time favorite seems to have lulled the judges into indifference. Still, she has that Asian-American community supporting her, so she could be good for another few weeks.
9. Lauren Alaina: She made a comeback this week and is still a crowd favorite, even if she seems to have lost the judges’ enthusiasm. Not to be counted out.
10. Naima Adedapo: Not a good week for the “exotic flower,” who will hang on for a week or two, at best.
Next Week Going:
11: Karen Rodriguez: Only thing holding her in is her Latino following. One more week, tops.
GONE:
12. Haley Reinhart: J-Lo told her to do Stevie Nicks, but ends up doing Whitney?
