(GLAAD-LA 2017) WINNERS LIST!

GLAAD, the world's LGBTQ advocacy organization, honored Patricia Arquette, Troye Sivan, and outstanding LGBTQ images in film and television at the 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 1.

Cameron Esposito hosted the event that included a tribute to the lives lost in the Orlando Pulse nightclub attack by Jussie Smollett and a powerful performance of 'Imagine' by Cynthia Erivo. Mary J. Blige, Paris Jackson, Josh Hutcherson, Tatiana Maslany, Victoria Justice, Carly Rae Jepsen, Trevante Rhodes, Justin Tranter, Trace Lysette, Cookie Johnson, and Stephanie Beatriz were among the special guests. The 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards are presented by Delta Air Lines, Hilton, Ketel One Vodka, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Wells Fargo.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBTQ community and the issues that affect their lives. The GLAAD Media Awards also fund GLAAD's work to amplify stories from the LGBTQ community and issues that build support for equality and acceptance.

The Awards and Backstage were wild at the GLAAD awards on April 2nd in Beverly Hills and we were there! When they announced that Taylor Swift was in the house to present the Kolzak award to Ruby Rose, all the press sitting in the back of the ballroom, all headed to the balcony to get a closer look! It was also great to see Nick Jonas present the Vangard award to Demi Lovato. An added bonus was surprise performances from both Lovato and Jonas.

The victors are announced, the trophies distributed, and celebrations are under way. But before the newly christened 2015 Tony winners could thank and run, TheaterMania caught up with them in the press room just minutes after their names were called before all of America. Broadway's brightest stars took a stroll down the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall for the 69th Annual Tony Awards. TheaterMania was on hand to capture photos of New York's greatest talents as they arrived and got ready to celebrate the biggest night of the year on the Great White Way. The results are in, and Fun Home, the new Broadway musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel, walked away the evening's big winner. Aside from nabbing the Best Musical Award, the show took home accolades for Score, Book, Lead Actor, and Director. The show also earned the honor of becoming the first all-female creative team, led by composer Jeanine Tesori and lyricist/librettist Lisa Kron, to win the top prize.

In the Play categories, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time came out ahead, also with five wins for Best Play, Lead Actor, Director, Scenic Design, and Lighting Design. An American in Paris and Best Revival of a Musical winner The King and I also made strong showings with four awards each.

The latter also earned its star Kelli O'Hara a poignant first Tony win for her leading performance after five previous unrequited nominations.

Burbank, CA – April 27, 2015 –The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) last night announced the winners of the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards in a sold-out gala for over 1,200 attendees held at Stage 16 of the historic Warner Bros. Studios Lot in Burbank, CA. The awards presentation was broadcast live on Pop at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT.
