(GAY DAYS) Paul is finding plenty of reasons to stay in Salem; Will continues to lamely scheme to keep his husband!

Paul says to Sonny : ‘I have this whole new family and I kind of like them.’

So between a new dad, brother and nephew (baby Tate), Paul also has the job offer from Kate – all reasons to stay in Salem that don’t involve Sonny.

‘I have things here that I never imagined having … i want to stay here and I want to get to know this family that’s been dropped in my lap,’ he tells Sonny who looks at him with loving eyes.

For now, Sonny is sticking to his ‘but I’m married’ routine which no one believes and which is tough to buy anymore with Will having become pathetic, dishonest and ridiculous.

Paul makes clear he believes he and Sonny belong together and he will never give up on that.


Even Will’s scheming grandmother Kate is incredulous that Will wants to bribe their marriage counselor with a favorable magazine profile so that the dude will side with Will in counseling sessions and convince Sonny to stay in marriage. Where there is a Will....!

Oh Grandma, Please Save My Marriage!

Sonny runs into Paul in the park and wants to tell Paul about his admitting Will that he still loves Paul but Paul is regaining his sense of self and doesn’t want to be toyed with by his ex.

Meanwhile, a good scene with Will and grandma Marlena who can see through Will’s lies and can see his desperation regarding Sonny. Also good father-son bonding between Paul and John.

Then at Ari’s party, Will annoys Sonny when he kisses him on the cheek during a family portrait because Sonny felt Will was putting on a show for the benefit of family.

It’s clear by now that Sonny and Will are at different levels when it comes to emotional maturity and it makes their interactions increasingly painful to watch. Will, of course, is trying to fast-forward through marriage counseling with his hand=picked doctor who focuses on moving forward rather than examining what got them to where they are. Sonny can see right through it because, well, he has a brain.


Through gritted teeth, Kate offers Paul a job as the new spokesman for a line of men’s products at Mad World. Will finds out and freaks out, of course. Meanwhile, Will is doing some kooky things regarding the marital counseling – not sure what he’s trying to accomplish.

Meanwhile, Will flakes out on seeing a marriage counselor with Sonny saying he had a meeting with his editor.

Later, Will admits he was afraid that a counselor would just point out his shortcomings and make Sonny wonder why he as ever with him in the first place.

Will asks Sonny point blank if he still loves Paul.Sonny cannot lie. He does have Feelings, but Past Feelings.

Later Sonny runs into Paul and Sonny gives him those “I still love you eyes” without admitting it.

Paul gives blood then later finds out the stabbing victim he donated it for is Sonny. Will Visits Sonny's Bedside, while Paul is about ready to go in. Poor Sonny! His husband cheating, his business struggling and now he gets stabbed. Not only that but his assailant then pours cocaine into his wound. To send a Message to Sonny's Mobster Uncle Victor!

Adding to the horror of it is the hospital does not have enough of Sonny’s type of blood so they call Paul who just happens to be the same blood type. Really!

Meanwhile, cheating Will is praying in the chapel for Sonny’s life to be spared.

(GAY DAYS) Paul tells Sonny he still loves him then comes out to his mom; Sonny finds OUT about Paul and Will's Affair and Gets Attacked!

Big day for Paul. He has his most emotional meeting with Sonny yet as he tells Sonny how much he regrets losing him and that he will always love him. It’s a poignant scene and one of several in this Paul-centric episode.He then takes a call from his mom and very emotionally comes out as gay to her and then his grandfather.
