We are back covering the 3rd GLAAD Red, I mean Blue, Carpet. I had to catch up with the cast of ‘Orange is the New Black‘ with juicy tidbits from Season 4 and perhaps season 5.
I also chat with Iconic, Randy Jones and newbie cutie, Noah Galvin (The Real O’Neils).
Here are the highlights:
Laverne Cox (OITNB/Trans Super Star)
What advice would today's Laverne would give the Laverne from 2 years ago? "Fasten Your Seatbelts, it is going to be quite a ride!" Indeed it has.
Jason Biggs (OITNB/American Pie)
What is with all the Larry-haters? Larry Needs Redemption. Season 4? No. Season 5? Maybe.
Selenis Leyva (OITNB)
After 20 yrs, She wanted to stop acting, but now life on OITNB, and now loves the LGBT message of the show. Gloria is so Bad Ass! Gloria will run all over the place in Season 4.
Laura Gomez (OITNB)
Blanca is growing and we still don't know her. We will get more Blanca in Season 4.
Lea Delaria (OITNB)
Was honored to be part of the First Lesbian Kiss on Daytime on One Life in 1999. Doesn't think she is a role model, but she is!
Noah Galvin (The Real O'Neals)
Praised for the positive feedback of the show and young kids with thinking it is the norm. Would like to see Kenny have a lesbian pal and explore his passions.
Alex Newell-(Performer/Glee)
A Bigger conversation is needed for the Trans issues, GLEE did good work. Move On!
Darren Young (Gay Wrestler)
Coming Out has created an impact and he wants to be in your corner. He brought Mom, and left Boyfriend at home! Boxer or Briefs? Briefs, Boxers no good!
Randy Jones (Gay Icon)
It is part of his nature to be active in social media. Jones wanted to show off his husband of 32 years and is proud of his visibility in the 70's. Imagine Village People were more out in the '70s then Liberace in the'50s and Jones still has incredible energy. Get ready for Village People on Broadway, one day! Truly Blessed!
