(OUTview NW) RE-view: It was a HOT time at the Summer West Side Glory, West Seattle's Queerest Event in years!

When was the last time you had a very Queer Time in West Seattle (Not counting a night or 2 at OUTWest) and a time where a diversity of  Gay Men and Lesbians all share the same space for a night of variety and  Raunchiness. Back in the day, this event would have been held at the Now-deceased, Guppys or way down south in Kent at the old Trax Terminal, but now the honor happens at Skylark Bar in North Delridge.

The turnout this past Saturday for West Side Glory, a Quarterly Somewhat Queer Variety Show, was a pretty good turnout and the audience was a mix of Bears, Twink, Leather Daddies, Bi, Lesbians, Black and White and a few drag Queens, including Donatella Howe.

Starting off the night was the opening act of  Homer Marrs from Chicago! He had an awesome voice and a great style.

Then came out Host, Jeffery Robert (of Gay-Uncle Time Fame) who is larger than life, and has a great comedic edge. I saw him recently as a guest o Ian Schulke's Variety show. He commented to me during intermission that Improv was more his forte, but he did exceptionly well as Ringmaster.

The show opened with the imfamous Go-Go Bears, including one muscle bear! Tipping was encouraged to all the performers!

Joining later the brilliant Hellen Tragedy, the scorching Deja Nouveau, the dazzling d. Mangione (Delonda Marie Mangione), the heat of Eric Blu ( Eric Martin), the sizzling DonnaTella Howe, blazing Bettina McKelvey, torrid Diane Gasperin, searing and androgynous, Mylo Precious! With the always,  Mizz Honey Bucket!

The next West Side Glory will happen on October 17th, but in the meantime see Jeffery Robert in Gay-Uncle Time, every 3rd Wednesday at the Rendezvous!

Seattle's Monthly Celebration of Pop, Camp, Gay, Underground and Trash Culture from the 60's & 70's and BEYOND! will be celebrating the one and only Goddess Supreme of John Waters' Dreamlanders - Edith Massey.

They will be covering a brief history of the eccentric, freaky and fabulous with this story. We might even have egg recipes.

Fabulous Special Guests will then take is in many directions and places - all of them delightful. Joining us will be Aaron Fishbein, Faye Fontaine & Bryan Harthorne, Lynn Rosskamp, Little Bear the Bearded Lady, Patrick Worth and Harlotte O'Scara!

The fun starts at 7:00 PM, but doors will be open at 6:30 PM. FIVE BUCKS CASH! 21 and over please.
