(OUTscene NW) EXCLUSIVE: MK's Classic Inter-view with Amanda Lepore, who is returning to Seattle this week!

MK w/ Amanda at the Cuff pride Party
by MK Scott

This week Transgendered recording artist, Amanda Lepore
returns to Seattle for FEROCIOUS MEMORIES! A world class dance party NOT to be forgotten, and it will only happen three times a year...This time Amanda is the VIP Hostess. NEIGHBOURS Night club, Friday, December 13th.

Back in Pride 2012, I chatted with Amanda in her Trailer, backstage at the Cuff Block party in Capitol Hill.

MK: What does Pride mean too?

Lepore:  I think it’s really, you know, loving yourself, and you know, gay people and transgendered people, and lesbians really go through, you know, it’s hard, when you’re a kid, so if you can stand with pride, you know, it’s really for the kids, and for everybody to celebrate. Certainly it’s for the kids to have, you know, role models, and that they could get the best through hard times. So they could feel good about being different.

MK: Do you have a particular pride that stood out for you?

Lepore: I think that all of them do, but half of the time I do, you know, this guy came up to me and if one gender was more important than the other, you know,  I can’t take it personal, you know, just being proud and having a strong message to kids, you know, that whether you’re transgendered or gay, even so, but they’re told, you know, that they can get out of a bad situation, that’s [].

MK: Amanda, What do you think of Cazwell?

Lepore: I think that he was such a gentleman, to make me really respected, you know, or the  You know, I think we were working at the same nightclub. You know, he really helped me a lot. I like to, you know, perform.

MK:  What advice would you give to transgendered kids?

Lepore: I think that, you know, when you’re having a good time and everything that a bad time, in school and all that, I would want them to realize that things will get better and that should. Like a pink dress or children and actually like celebrate it. I think you can do that.

Thank you for coming to Seattle!
