(OURview Special) DNC SPECIAL WRAP UP!

It was a Busy week on Facebook, especially during the Democratic National Convention. It was like everyone had an opinion. Here is a sample of some of the well-known Voices! 

•  George Carrancho  (American Airlines LGBT MANAGER): As a proud Latino!! Amazing speech from Julian Castro! You can't be pro-business if your are not pro-education!! #2012Obama

• Eric Alva (DADT Hero): Watching our Mayor Julian Castro of San Antonio on ABC World News be interviewed by Diane Sawyer. Tonight we hear him speak as the first ever Hispanic to give the keynote address at the DNC, who knows maybe one day he will be our first Hispanic President too :)

• Wilson Cruz (Actor/Icon): OYE, Mayor JULIAN CASTRO, after Re-Elect President OBAMA, and YOU take YOUR turn... CALL ME! Pa' Lante!!

• Jason Stuart (Comedian): Michele Obama is kicking ass! a real speech from a real american we knows what its like to struggle and get success!

• Ben Doko (DNC VOLUNTEER/REPORTER): Mayor Julian Castro and LA Mayor Antonia Vilaraigossa are new star of Democratic Party! Michelle Obama,Ted Strickland,Lincoln Chafee and Rahm Ehmanuel speeches are great!

• Eric Alva (DADT Hero): Man is it me or President Clinton is sexy!!! Lol. And no I have not been drinking any red wine :)

• Sean Bugg (METRO WEEKLY): I think Bill Clinton is the gun you bring to a knife fight.

• Jeff Campagna (ACTIVIST): "I get it. I know it. I been there." So cool. Damn term limits.

• Fred Kuhr (Journalist): No one argues the case for Obama better than Bill Clinton. Bubba knows how to give a speech!

• Jake Tapper (ABC NEWS): Obama comes on stage, hugs Clinton, personally applauds the former president. Clinton: "Thanks."

• Brandon K. Thorp (BLOGGER): Paul Ryan is, I assume, in a fetal position under his couch.

• Jeff Campagna (ACTIVIST): I don't mean to be cranky, but is this one of those rare boring Obama speeches? It ain't feeling like one of those amazing Obama convention speeches. Is it just me? This is more like a state of the union speech.

• Jose Antonio Vargas (ACTIVIST/JOURNALIST): Last night the first undocumented American--an aspiring citizen--addressed a national political convention. (Go Benny Veliz!!) Tonight Vice President Joe Biden, in primetime, voices his support for the DREAM Act. The fight is far from over; much more to do. But we have unequivocally entered a new era--a new normal--when it comes to the way we talk about immigration. Onwards!
