The NBC drama The Playboy Club may have become the first new show of the fall season to be cancelled, but it was on long enough for one of its stars, Sean Maher, to come out publicly.
It’s been very special to watch Sean bask in a wave of support since coming out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He played a closeted gay man on the series who was married to a lesbian Playboy bunny, according to Greg in Hollywood.
Beginning Oct. 31, NBC will begin airing Rock Center with Brian Williams in the Monday 10 p.m. timeslot. The prime-time newsmagazine will feature Meredith Vieira, Harry Smith, Kate Snow, Ann Curry, Nancy Snydermann, Richard Engel and Matt Lauer as correspondents.
