Quick FIX: Weiner to Enter Rehab!

Probably only surprising in that this didn't happen sooner: Anthony Weiner just played the rehab card. He will take a temporary leave from Congress to "seek professional treatment to focus on becoming a better husband and healthier person,” says his office. But he will not resign, despite today's call from Nancy Pelosi and top House Democrats to do just that. Weiner's statement says the congressman already has left for the undisclosed site, reports the Daily News.

"Congressman Weiner takes the views of his colleagues very seriously and has determined that he needs this time to get healthy and make the best decision possible for himself, his family and his constituents," says the statement. Weiner had been asked when the scandal broke whether he would seek help, but he didn't take the bait. (We're guessing sex columnist Dan Savage, who praised Weiner for that, is just thrilled with the news.)
