IDOL First Week: MK's Top 10 contenders

For the first time in 2 years I actually watched a full episode of IDOL. The Talent is SO THERE this year. Most of the Guys are HOT!

The following are my current Top 10.

The Contenders
1. James Durbin (Adam Lambert LIVES): Flashy, bold and ballsy. Can he be Idol’s first honest-to-goodness rock star?

2. Scotty McCreery (Garth Brooks with Randy Travis' look) : Is he a one-trick pony or the first Idol cowboy?

3. Naima Adedapo (Erika Badu meets Rhiana): Just unique enough to be in the race.

4. Stefano Langone (David Archaleta Type): Was his Wonder-ful performance enough to put him back in the conversation?

5. Paul McDonald (Joe Cocker Type): Easy on the eyes and ears, but does he have the oomph to catapult into the leader’s circle?

6. James Lusk: (Luther Vandros reborn) It appears this race is his to lose.

7. Pia Toscano: She’s beautiful and has a great, big voice. What’s not to like?

8. Lauren Alaina (Carrie Underwood Type): Weak opening may hurt her, but she’s got plenty of support.

9. Casey Abrams: How will his quirkiness play out in America? He’s already an audience favorite.
10.Thia Megia (Asian Irene Cara) She did Michael Jackson proud.

Who will be sent Home?

11. Haley Reinhart: She could well be America’s sweetheart, but does she have the chops to contend?

12. Karen Rodriguez (Latin Mariah Carey): Even her evocation of Selena couldn’t sway the judges. A Big Let down
