FASHION: Models Walk Intrepid Runway for Charity!

Jeffrey Fashion Cares was never a tiny benefit, but during the last couple of years it has evolved into massive planning proportions. That's because the event, which has raised millions of dollars for local AIDS and LGBT charities, now also doubles as one of the world's most lucrative male fashion shows, reports WSJ.


..The elaborate staging and the party take place at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum virtually every modern Zoolander takes the catwalk and thanks to host Jeffrey Kalinsky nothing less than the Balmain or Lanvin type of brands make it to the runway. "I would have killed to be in the show," Honorary Chairman Nate Berkus admitted at Monday night's event. "But I'm afraid I didn't meet the rigid 5'8" height requirements."

Mr. Kalinsky had initial reservations about the event space that also houses plenty of wartime ships and aircrafts. "I remember I was kicking and screaming because of the location and our chairpeople were pushing for it," he recalled. "But they were so right and I was wrong."
