HEALTH: There May Be No More Smokers in 30 Years!
Smoking may be a thing of the past in just a few decades—at least in developed countries—a Citigroup analysis of the tobacco industry finds. Using smoking rates in Britain, it calculated that there may be no smokers left in 30 to 50 years. A decade ago, almost one in four Americans smoked; now, it’s more like one in five, though the decline has lately stopped, the New York Post reports. Even so, it's "quite possible that there will be no smokers left in Britain or many other developed countries in about 30-50 years," says the report.
