The competition is really heating up as week 8 of ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ brings another double-threat: Each of the five remaining couples had to dance two individual routines – one ballroom and one “Instant Dance.” Fancast Reports.
Just what is an “Instant Dance”? ‘Dancing’ on demand! Sort of. The couples knew what dance they were doing in advance but didn’t know what song they’d be dancing to, which, of course, is a big part of choreographing a dance number.
“It’s more like a regular ballroom competition,” explained head judge Len Goodman, who said that’s how they do it in real competitions. The couples had less than one hour to prepare – some (Kyle and Lacey) had 45 minutes, while others (Brandy and Maks) had just 20 minutes; it all depended on when they finished their first dance and were given their second-dance song.
Who fared best? Who got tons of 10s? Who got into a fight with the judges? Let’s take a look….
