While other stars of Harry Potter sobbed as they recently wrapped up 10 years of filming the wizard epic, Draco Malfoy was "excited." For "the past decade we haven’t had much freedom to do other projects. I certainly haven’t had much freedom to keep my own hair color, or lie in the sun, or do anything remotely dangerous like skiing," complains actor Tom Felton, 23, who played the sniveling Draco. Oh, sure, he made scads of money, but he can never be a kid again, he points out. "People keep on saying to me that the wealth and the fame must have made up for missing out on my childhood,’ he tells the Daily Mail. 
"But you will never get those years back and you can’t put a price on them." And, he's discovered, "fame is not a positive thing," he explains. "The idea of being famous is a lot better than the reality." He made so much money on the films that he and his parents didn't know what to do with it. He spent too lavishly on wasteful "toys" and landed in big trouble with the tax man. Now he's looking ahead to new projects but it's a "nervous" time, he says. "My last audition was when I was 12, and now I have to put myself out there again," he adds. "After my first audition in LA I nearly fainted."
