Christine O'Donnell continued her strange tango with the Republican Party today, appearing on ABC to apparently kick the NRSC in the shins, while simultaneously asking it to open up its wallet. "We're hoping that the National Republican Senatorial Committee will help us. But it's two and a half weeks left, and they're not." Then, at another campaign event: "If you want a senator who has had to fight her own party and is still fighting her own party, please vote O'Donnell for US Senate."
It's unclear what O'Donnell wants, ABC notes: The NRSC has already maxed out on the $42,000 it can give her, and she's pulled down $3.7 million in the last month, giving her a significant edge over Chris Coons. Coons, who leads her significantly, told ABC separately today that a win for him in Delaware would all but guarantee the GOP won't take the Senate.
