Margaret Cho was voted off of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars last night but I’m glad she was on long enough to bring a little gay to this show.
Margaret, wearing a dress the color of the rainbow flag, dedicated her samba to gays teens imploring them to stay alive.
But her dancing did not impress the judges or, it seems, enough viewers.
She cried after she and partner Louis Van Amstel were eliminated and said: “I thought the judges were really hard on me, but I think you were hard on me because you could see that I am a dancer for real. And I thank you for that. I will take that with me forever.”Margaret had revealed that she had loved dance as a child, but quit when someone called her a “fat ballerina.”
“Thank you for the opportunity to let me dance,” she said. “I’m going to keep dancing.”
