I’m not sure what this is about, but I’m on Cher’s side!

She’s from the old school when people actually became famous and got their own television shows because they had talent.

 

Sure, like the Kardashians, Cher is also famous for being famous at times. But she also has an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a number one hit record in each of the last six decades.

Though the ballroom buzz was that Chaz’s time had come, he and Lacey were among the first deemed safe. The shocked pressroom burst out in cheers, partly because everyone loves an underdog and Chaz is the underdog of the season. But also because this means that Cher might grace us with her presence in the audience next week as she promised.

Cher Tweeted Monday night that if Chaz made it through this week (most thought there was no way he would), she would take her seat in the ballroom to show some support.

It’s very disappointing that there are people who have a problem with Chaz Bono participating in the new season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars because he is a transgender male, reports Greg in Hollywood.

His famous mother, Cher, took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend her child with the late Sonny Bono .

Cher initially struggled with Bono’s transition from the female Chastity to the male Chaz but she clearly loves and supports her child.

“Chaz is Being Viciously Attacked on Blogs & Message boards about being on DWTS!This is Still America right ? It took guts 2 do it.” Cher wrote in one Tweet then added: “I support him no matter what he chooses 2do! God! will there always be haters! It took COURAGE 2 do dwts ! TG Chaz has an Unlimited supply.”

MSNBC reporter Thomas Roberts yesterday scrutinized Marcus Bachmann, husband of presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, and his claims that gays are "barbarians" who need to be "disciplined."

While it's wonderful to see mainstream media questioning Mr. Bachmann's fundamentalist politics, including his work for the "ex-gay" movement, no amount of cable punditry can compare to the power of long-time LGBT ally Cher, who took to Twitter this week to lambast Marcus Bachmann, and to offer her take on rumors that Michele's husband isn't being straight about his own proclivities.

She also says she wants to "strangle him with my boa." Don't mess with Cher, Mr. Bachmann: the legendary chanteuse takes her gays very seriously. As well she should.

Leave it to Cher to really speak her mind about The Donald. The superstar said in a pair of tweets via Twitter:
