(OUTscene NW) RE-view: The Legend(s) of Ham for the Holidays Continues!

Platt as Euomi as Mary w/Gommels as God as Tony  P: Chris Bennion
By MK Scott

It is that time of year again that we get to Check IN with the Spudds and the Drama queens of the Sequim Gay Men's Chorus and More at Ham for the Holidays: Fear the Bacon.  Always performed by Seattle comedy legends of Lisa Koch and Peggy Platt! Also Last but not least the supporting talents of DJ Gommels and Michael Oaks and the beefcake of James Knoll.

Once again with a larger budget at ACT Theater and a Full house, this comedy masterminds went from sketch after sketch with professional ease.

Besides the regular sketches of Spudds and Sequim (which were the best ever), the REUNION (Old and Overweight super heroes), the Game show Parody (Platt as Ann Rule and Gommels as Mayor Ed Murray), and First Class (with Platt as an overbearing flight attendant) were FAB.

Now the Spudds (a parody of the JUDDS) this year did a mashup of the Saturday Night Jesus as the  prequel for the birth of Jesus. Platt as Euomi Spudd as Mary goes to the local Disco with Joseph (Oaks) but is distracted by Tony G (God) and as Mary gets the immaculate conception, Tony G runs off with Joseph.

Of course, once again, hilarious Campy music videos played in between scenes.

Ham for the Holidays continues through December 21st at ACT's Falls Theater! click for TIX!
