General Hospital Turns 50 in 27 Days, and we will be counting down with the Greatest moments in TV History. Today (In 1967), Jessie has her hands full: Her beau Dr. John Prentice recently suffered a coronary, leaving him far more ill than anyone wants to admit, and John's troubled daughter Polly is not helping matters by fooling around with her married professor. Meanwhile, nurse Sharon McGillis provides mild comic relief as she attempts to stay in head nurse Lucille March's good graces for the morning.
Following a car crash (in 1968) that killed her unborn child, Dr. Steve Hardy and nurse Lucille March worry about Steve's wife Audrey who is obsessed with replacing her dead child. Meanwhile, nurse Jessie Prentice is being railroaded into a murder charge by her vicious stepdaughter Polly.
Nurse Meg Baldwin worries about the relationship between her husband Lee and his secretary Iris Fairchild.
