How's this for a master chess move? Whoever
emerges as the GOP presidential candidate can attract female voters,
hush charges of conservative racism, and cover his lack of foreign
policy experience all in one stroke: Name Condoleezza Rice as VP
candidate. "Her addition to the ticket, which wouldn’t come until late
next summer, would dramatically change the dynamics of the 2012
election," writes Joseph Curl in the Washington Times.
The move would also counter "the expected replacement" of Joe Biden with Hillary Clinton in the VP chair.
("Sure, the White House denies and denies, but that should really make
any political watcher more suspicious.") Plus Condi seems ready: The
hyper-fit Stanford professor recently raised her profile with a
month-long book tour, and is signaling that she wants back into the political game. Put simply: "Cue Miss Rice."
