No GO? ‘Barefoot Bandit’ May Not Be Able to Sell His Story!

Barefoot Bandit" Colton Harris-Moore appeared in court Thursday to again plead not guilty to a slew of charges, but it looks like he's close to a plea deal to resolve the case, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The outline could be out this week, but it likely involves him admitting to federal charges and having state and local charges dropped related to his epic plane-stealing, boat-hijacking flight from justice. His attorneys earlier said they hoped to get him a 4-year sentence.

One new wrinkle: Federal prosecutors want the 20-year-old to forfeit any profits from the selling of his story. Harris-Moore's attorney is balking at that and says his client wants any future money to pay restitution. "He does not want to make a dime off of it," says the attorney. "He thinks it's wrong. He doesn't want his family to make a dime off of it."
