The parade will take place this Sunday, June 26 at 11 a.m. in Downtown Seattle.
"When OUTview signed up as a Media Sponsor of the Parade, we were only required to shoot the parade and broadcast it to monitors in the designated Beer Garden on the parade route," said MK Scott, Executive Producer, OUTview Online.
Thinking big, Scott called upon Darran Bruce of ITV Productions to provide the crew and cameras and the idea took off from there. Scott realized the high demand and interest to capture the parade live and stream it on Ustream.com/ITVNW.
"Upon sharing the news to Seattle OUT & Proud, President, Adam Rosencrantz, the excitement hit the roof, and it was an instant 'yes' ", said Scott.
OUTview has agreed, per the contract with SO&P, to cover the production costs. "If members of the business community want to pitch in the costs of the production, then we in return, will add their logo and website on the screen for 10 second increments to be seen by hundreds of thousands worldwide".
The 2011 Pride Parade is a good way to give back to the community while taking advantage of the vast exposure that will be garnered. Not only is it a cost efficient way for businesses to advertise, but also gets them involved with the social scene throughout Seattle.
Highlights of the parade, including the mentions, will be re-broadcasted of other sites including OUTview National Media Partner, EdgeSeattle.com.
