Julian Assange has ripped into prison conditions, his enemies, and at least one ally in a series of post-prison interviews. He also said the women accusing him of sex assault had worked themselves up into a "tizzy." The WikiLeaks founder says that the decision by the Guardian, one of his site's media partners, to publish leaked details of the sexual assault allegations against him in Sweden is "disgusting," the Age reports. "The leak was clearly designed to undermine my bail application," he said. "Someone in authority clearly intended to keep Julian in prison."
The women accusing him merely got into a "tizzy" about the possibility of sexually transmitted diseases, "then the police jumped in on this and bamboozled the women," he told the BBC. Assange complained that he was held in prison in the same wing as "people who have been convicted of sexual offenses, child killers"—and that he lost a tooth after chewing on a metal object stuck in his food. Assange, who confirmed that WikiLeaks is holding large amounts of info on a large American bank, says the site has already done a lot of good and he believes public opinion in the US is on his side. "We have caused new law reform efforts. We have caused police investigations into the abuses we have exposed," he said.
