POLITICS: Pelosi want to be Minority Leader!

Nancy Pelosi is putting out feelers to see if her fellow Democrats would mind if she stayed on as minority leader. In some cases, Pelosi is making the calls herself, and in others she’s having House allies call, aides and one lawmaker tell Politico. She’s not directly asking to be minority leader, merely asking how caucus members think leadership should look next year, but the implication is clear, the sources said.

Pelosi has previously said she’d canvass her caucus before deciding whether or not to run. “I've gotten a positive response,” she told the Huffington Post yesterday. “Of course, the ones you will hear from are the ones who want you to run.” But one senior Democratic aide thinks the calls are a sign Pelosi’s already made up her mind—despite strong opposition from the Blue Dog Coalition. “Yeah, it’s on,” he said. “Game on.”
