The is an independent film that will star Emma Roberts and Josh Hutcherson. It’s about a geeky guy and a popular girl who become friends as freshmen in high school and see their relationship deepen through the four years, four proms and one funeral before graduation.
The script was written by Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey.
Busy Neil, who recently won Emmys for his guest role on Glee and for hosting the 2009 Tony Awards, recently directed a production of Rent at The Hollywood Bowl. He remains one of the stars of CBS’s How I Met Your Mother and has completed roles in the films Beastly, The Smurfs and in the third Harold & Kumar flick.
He and partner David Burtka are also due to become the parents of twins any day now.
