On Sunday, Sept. 26, five days after the premiere, three Glee characters – Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith), and Mercedes (Amber Riley) – will be featured in cartoon form on the season premiere of The Simpsons.
So what the heck are these characters doing associating with The Simpsons? Entertainment Weekly explains: Lisa Simpson heads to performing arts camp, where she runs into miniature versions of these New Directions members.
Meanwhile, some photos have surfaced on Socialite Life and other sites of Emmy nominee Chris Colfer on the Glee set wearing a cool outfit.
The adorable Colfer, who plays gay student Kurt Hummel, talked to E! Online columnist Marc Malkin about the new season and Kurt getting a boyfriend.
Although co-star Jane Lynch seems to have confirmed that the boyfriend will be played by Chord Overstreet when she said Kurt’s boyfriend “has straight blond hair and big, fat pouty lips.” Chris remained vague: “I can’t say anything without getting in trouble these days. We’re going to be the power couple of the school. We better be.”
And how would the openly gay Colfer feel about an onscreen kiss?
Whoever it is, Colfer will be happy to share an onscreen smooch.
“I’m fine with it,” he told Malkin at the Emmys. “I don’t know how middle America would feel about it, [but] if it’s done in a tasteful way…I want it to be very cute and have people go, ‘Aww!’”
And finally, we have been hearing for several weeks now how several of the male cast members of Glee have been dieting just in case they have to wear a “mankini” in the show’s Rocky Horror-themed Halloween episode.
I had been thinking it was going to have to be one of the students and was rooting for it to be Corey Monteith. Had not crossed my mind that it could be the hottie teacher played by Matthew Morrison!
The Daily Beast reports the actor as saying that his character may be donning a gold lamé “banana hammock” at some point next season.
Anyone who has seen photos of Matthew from the Broadway Bares benefit a few years back or his spectacular Vogue spread knows that this gifted Emmy-nominated actor is already in fine shape and can pull off a mankini anytime, anywhere.
