Via Greg in Hollywood:
Picked up a copy of The Rage Monthly the other day (this is a really good magazine btw!) and in it is an interview with Reichen Lehmkuhl, the Air Force captain turned reality show star who famously dated Lance Bass and will star in the upcoming LOGO reality show The A List: New York.
A List features Reichen and his current boyfriend Rodiney Santiago in a show that has been likened to Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. He is currently taping the series and starring in the off-Broadway production of My Big Italian Gay Wedding.
Amid all of this, Reichen is working on a follow-up to his 2006 memoir Here’s What We’ll Say about his life as a closeted gay man in the military. This book will be lighter which you can tell by its planned title: It Will Be Great Exposure.
“The first quarter will be my time as a gay officer in the Air Force and everything I went through living a double life, and then I’ll go into meeting [former partner Chip Arndt], doing The Amazing Race, meeting Lance [Bass] and going through a break-up on the grocery store tabloids.”
“I’ve been through some really hard stuff that I’m going to reveal and open up about,” he added. “Hopefully to help other people who might have gone through the same things.”
Of A-List, Reichen says: “It’s definitely a unique show because it will be the only one that’s totally gay and depicting these six guys’ lives. You’ll be able to relate to it more and there’s every kind of gay person on the show – name the kind of gay guy and he’s on there. I think everyone’s going to have a favorite and everyone’s going to have someone they hate. And, I think it will be appealing to a lot of people outside the gay community because it’s kind of a social experiment.
No comment from Chip or Lance yet.
