Lady Gaga's drive to be über thin and her bizarre, extreme diets have landed her in the hospital six times, according to a new biography of the singer. Gaga wolfed down masses of unhealthy foods then would go for weeks without eating, according to former tour manager David Clemmy, who's quoted in Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga. “When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally,” David said. The singer would sometimes lose 20 pounds between fittings for her stage costumes while on tour. She was also so insecure that she often pleaded with Clemmy's wife to cuddle with her before and after a performance, reports Radar.
