ISSUES: Iceland to Dig Up Bobby Fischer's Body

Iceland’s Supreme Court has ordered Bobby Fischer’s body exhumed for DNA testing that could help resolve the stalemate over the weird chess legend’s estate. The testing should determine whether he was really the father of Jinky Young, a 9-year-old Philippines girl, whose mother has laid claim to part of the roughly $2 million Fischer left behind, the New York Times explains.

But the paternity issue is only one of many surrounding the case. There have also been claims from the head of the Japanese Chess Association—who says that she married Fischer in 2004—two of Fischer’s nephews, and the US government for back taxes.
