POLITICS: Massa's male staffers complained for a year!

This was apparently no isolated tickle fest, no matter what Eric Massa says. A Washington Post investigation finds that the former congressman's male staffers began complaining about lewd overtures from him in March 2009, just 3 months after he took office. Massa's senior aides tried to handle it internally—for a year—but the complaints about inappropriate touching and comments were so unending they informed congressional leaders.

The final straw occurred in February, when Massa was accused on a blog of soliciting sex from a young male bartender in upstate New York. When confronted by his chief of staff, Massa said he merely wanted to give the man a reference to law school. The chief of staff didn't buy the explanation and called Steny Hoyer's office. Massa resigned weeks later.
