‘DWTS’ Week 6: The Guys lose their Shirts!

Nothing will beat the shock-and-awe of last week’s pants off-dance off ‘Dancing With The Stars‘ with Jake Pavelka, but tonight’s swing dance marathon certainly gave that stunt a run for its money.

But, it was all about the Argentine Tango and the sexy Samba tonight with the Pussycat Doll leading the way with the high score of 26. “Look at me, you are one singular sensation!” exclaimed judge Bruno Tonioli.

Even bigger shocker of the night? Evan Lysacek not only being flipped on his head in rehearsal by partner Anna Trebunskaya and suffering a mild concussion, but falling so far from the No. 2 spot to tie for fifth place with Jake and Chelsie and Niecy and Louis. Ouch on both fronts! Len even called it his worst dance so far.

The BEST was 5 out 7 Guys all went shirtless at some point!

Here’s what this week looked like…

Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough, Dance: Samba
This girl can do no wrong. Even though she confused the Samba with the Salsa in rehearsal and wasn’t thrilled with this dance, she still nailed it with sass, sex appeal, and style. “That was just ridiculous!” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Bruno said, “You are one singular sensation!…Watching you makes you dribble with desire. You’ve got nothing to worry about.” Len, however, wasn’t as impressed. “I think Carrie Ann is misinformed…For me, the difficulty of that routine and the performance level was great…[However] it’s not a samba! It’s a hodgepodge of sexy moves and gyrations.”
Score: 26

Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Dance: Samba
Moving up the pack to No. 2 from last week’s No. 4, the ESPN reporter certainly knew how to shake her moneymaker in this sexy samba. Could they give Nicole and Derek a run for their money? Possibly. Maks going shirtless certainly helped, but Len wasn’t feeling it. “I’m fed up, Maks, with shirts coming off…She’s too good for that,” complained the judge, who said she should be doing better than she is. “This is a girl that can do it!’ exclaimed Bruno. “You nailed it! You nailed it!” screamed Carrie Ann.
Score: 25

Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke, Dance: Argentine Tango
The NFL star recovered nicely from last week’s God-awful Quick Step with a sexy Tango that earned him his highest score to date. “The Argentine Tango is all about chest and hips pressed together. I have a feeling I’m going to like that,” Chad joked. Frankly, we thought it was more somber than sizzle, but the judges dug it. “Strong, powerful, demented,” said Bruno. “Tonight you proved you could actually dance.” Carrie Ann said, “It was dramatic. It was powerful. It was arrogant. It was sensual. The lines were gorgeous.” Len added, “On ‘Dancing with the Stars’ you either grow or you go. You grew tonight.”
Score: 24

Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood, Dance: Argentine Tango

Why don’t America and the judges love her as much as we do? She is just as fun to watch as Nicole. She is just as sexy, if not sexier. Sure, Nicole might be technically correct more of the time, but Pam has some pretty good moves too and not as much training. Give the girl a break. “You can do seduction very well…You got the flavor of the dance,” said Len. “Another week and another great character from Pamela,” said Bruno. “You just play it so well.” Carrie Ann loved it too. “Unquestionably sexy,” said the judge, but criticized her technique. All this great praise and only a 22? Go figure!
Score: 22

Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower, Dance: Samba
Falling two spots to No. 6 this week, ‘The Bachelor’ star’s Samba just wasn’t as sexy as it could’ve been, and he stumbled on the steps. “You didn’t wiggle correctly,” said Bruno. Len liked that he showed “more confidence” and said it was “more polished,” but said he lacked rhythm. Carrie Ann said he needed to “connect to the music” and “ride it like the ocean.” Surf’s up, Jake!
Score: 21

Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya, Dance: Samba
Wow. Another big drop. The Olympic skater was No. 2 last week. What the hell happened Evan? Maybe it was because Anna flipped him on his head during rehearsal. “I really hit my head. I’m feeling kind of weird right now,” he said before heading to the hospital to find out he has a “very mild concussion,” according to the doctor. We’ll ask him when we interview him tomorrow so check back here for that report. Meanwhile, here’s what the judges said: Bruno criticized his technique pretty harshly. Carrie Ann said, “Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Tonight I definitely felt that you lost the battle of the samba.” Len said, “I don’t want to be nasty…But it was your worst dance.”
Score: 21

Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel, Dance: Argentine Tango
Tangos should be sexy, not funny. Period. The cookie? Huh? Louis, stuffing your face with sweets is also NOT sexy. Their “funny Argentine tango” just didn’t cut it for us, though the studio audience lapped it up wildly. Carrie Ann said Niecy was “in the zone,” but said they didn’t need the comedy. (Our point exactly!) “I didn’t think the comedy interfered with the performance,” countered Len. “Comedy and food, two of my favorite things!” joked Niecy afterwards.
Score: 21
