(OUT TRAVEL) Cruising in Puerto Vallarta!

By Jackson Holtz

Diana DeCoste should be the mayor of Puerto Vallarta. Or at least gay Puerto Vallarta.

Each Thursday, she loads about 50 gay men onto a trimaran for a day-long, all-you-can-drink booze cruise.

She was the captain, cruise director and life of the party. Diana was the one with the first tray of Jell-o shots: red, yellow and green, with vodka, rum and tequila, respectively.

(Marriage News Watch): Civil Unions and Beyond in 2012!

by Matt Baume Welcome to 2012! We got a lot of work to do this year, so let's roll up our sleeves and get to work. The new year marks new civil union laws in Delaware, Hawaii, and California. Psychologists in North Carolina lash out at anti-gay prejudice, LGBTs can marry in Cancun -- probably -- and something fishy's going on with civil unions in the European Union.

CAUGHT: Man Busted in Flight Attendant's Mexico Murder!

A man has been busted in the murder of a US Airways flight attendant who was found naked, bound, and strangled in a Mexico City hotel. FBI agents nabbed the suspected killer of Nick Aaronson using a hotel surveillance camera and tracking the GPS on his stolen cell phone, reports KPHO TV in Phoenix.

"I wish they had the death penalty in Mexico," Aaronson's mom said. The killer "took the light out of my life," she added. Aaronson was in Mexico during a work layover and his body was found by co-workers. His luggage was strewn about and cash was missing, according to authorities. He apparently met his 20-year-old killer in a local bar before Aaronson returned to the hotel with him. The suspect has admitted punching Aaronson, but denies that he killed him.

ORDERED: Colombia court demands same-sex Marriage by 2013!

Gay Colombians have two years to wait for gay marriage or another similar type of union, after their Constitutional Court ruled that marriage equality should exist.

The court decided on July 26 to give the legislature until June 20, 2013 to create an equivalent to same-sex couples who want to get married. If no decision is made by then, gay couples can go to any notary public or judge to formalize their union, reports the Constitutional Court of Colombia in a release written in Spanish.

BUSTED: Police in Grenada arrest man for having gay sex!

Police have arrested a man for having sex with another male on the eastern Caribbean island of Grenada, where a law against homosexual acts remains on the books but is rarely enforced.

A 41-year-old man was charged with having sex with an unidentified 17-year-old man, Grenada’s director of public prosecution, Christopher Nelson, said Wednesday.

The age of sexual consent in Grenada is 16 but while the sex in question was consensual, local law prohibits sodomy under the charge of “unnatural connection.”

Grenada is one of several Caribbean nations that has laws banning sex between men. The penalty in most islands, including Grenada, is up to 10 years in prison, although Barbados and Guyana have life imprisonment, according to a 2010 United Nations report.

Christian Chavez Turns Heads With Provocative 'Libertad' Video!

"The video looks super sexy," gushed Hilton on his site. "It's inspired us to unleash our own LIBERTAD."

Gay Puerto Vallarta is showing no signs of slowing down. More and more tours, hotels, bars, and restaurants are actively courting the gay community. That trend is backed by a recent survey. A 2010 poll by San Francisco-based Community Marketing, a gay marketing firm, found that Puerto Vallarta is the most popular gay foreign destination in the Americas, narrowly beating Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, Details The Bay Area Reporter.

The gay scene in Puerto Vallarta is on the south side of the city in an area known as Zona Romantica, or the Romantic Zone. Some also call it the Old Town, but that is a misnomer since downtown Puerto Vallarta is much older.

Same-Sex Marriages in Mexico City one year Later!

According to the Associated Press, 700 gay and lesbian couples have married in Mexico City since the capital enacted the first law in Latin America explicitly allowing same-sex marriages a year ago.

The city government says there have been 367 marriages between men and 333 between women since March 4, 2010.

The government said Friday that 73 foreigners were among those married, and the rest were Mexican citizens. It says nine of those who got married were between the ages of 71 and 90 years old.

The federal government challenged the law but Mexico's Supreme Court upheld it in an August ruling. The Roman Catholic Church has harshly criticized the movement to legalize gay marriage in the region.
