(MK Remembers) How a Porn Star opened my eyes; 10 Years ago this month!

MK got a warm embrace from Palmer in 2005!       DOKO

by MK Scott

It has been 10 years since I got my first "By-line" interview printed in a publication and I can't tell you how much my life changed. Under the name of 'Michael Montgomery', I was planning an event and the headliner was gonna be the Porn Star, Jeff Palmer. Palmer was living in Portland at the time and was thrilled to take the train up to Seattle to do a Private show. A Week before I had a chance to interview him and that is just the first chapter and how that glimpse opened my eyes at our Society and my journey began. My life was never the same. Here is the Interview that appeared in the Seattle Gay News on March 25, 2005.

An interview with porn superstar Jeff Palmer

Undoubtedly one of the icons of today’s porn industry, Jeff Palmer has made more than a name for himself - but he has been expanding the image of the business. I got a chance to go one-on-one with this hard body about his music, family, and how he manages to make every day count.

MM: Where are you from?

JP: I’m from Los Angeles, live in Portland part-time, but grew up in Argentina.

MM: What about your family? Have they come to America to visit you? Do they know about your success here?

JP: They came here once but they don’t like it here in America. They don’t know anything about Jeff Palmer. I told one member of my family and she is cool with it. I told her so I could feel that what I am doing is OK. To prove that I told one member and told her everything, everything, EVERYTHING. That member is working in an Evangelist church – so that she accepts it is even cooler. They have to face reality sooner or later – there is more to life than you think. You have to live with an open mind about things.

MM: How old are you?

JP: I’m turning 30 years old in matter of days.

MM: What are your stats?

JP: I’m 5’' 8", 150, long dark hair, hazel eyes.

MM: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?

JP: If I could live anywhere in this world right now it would be Amsterdam.

MM: What is your favorite physical feature on another person?

JP: My favorite physical feature on another person is their dicks, any size as long as is hard and filled with lots of sperm. I love to be fed and bred!

MM: What is your Ideal man?

JP: My ideal man is a big chubby one.

MM: When is your birthday?

JP: My birthday is on March 27 (this Sunday and an Aries!).

MM: What are your concerns about the industry?

JP: My concern is about competition. The industry isn’t unified. No one is saying, “Let’s all get along and so I can do the best I can.” Some people create drama, provoke situations. This can be fun, but that fighting is not fun.

MM: Being in porn seems to have opened a lot of opportunities for you to work in your art. Music has been a big focus for you. Will it continue to be?

JP: Both of these things are important to important to me. I have liked doing both since I was a kid. Hopefully (knocks on wood), I will get to do them as long as I live. Everything I have wanted to do in my life, I have done. I want to popular in the gay life – first. I am making new music for fans, for live shows and because I enjoy it. I feel bad for Ricky Martin who cannot have a normal life.

NEXT WEEK: In Part II, Jeff talks about his SHOCKING beliefs about HIV vs. AIDS and his other concerns in the adult industry. Stay tuned!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sadly, Part II was rejected from being published by the SGN and any other News Outlet. Lots of that had to do with Palmer's Conspiracy theories relating the Virus Myth movement and how the Drugs (AZT) was responsible for the Deaths, not the HIV virus. In the book, "What if Everything you knew about AIDS was Wrong?" by Christine Maggiore,  details how many victims were diagnosed with HIV and were later turned to be a false-positive, they got sick (cold/flu), went on the Meds and got worse before they found out they were undetectable. Palmer also protested the claim that People with HIV, could get re-infected. That later was proven true, This got me to do lots of research and I realized that there was so much reasonable doubt and in the LAW that means not 100% Fact. I have been Fear-Free ever since.

Palmer, (like the Matthew McConaughey's character in Dallas Buyer's Club) was diagnosed with HIV in 1997, and never went on meds and stayed healthy by eating right and smoking pot. I actually witnessed this as we hanged out in Seattle and a few months later in Portland. bareback porn swept the Porn Industy and Palmer has retired and has done occasional appearances.

Now the things I found out are changing in the mainstream as we learn more from the PrEP movement Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medically proven strategy that is over 92% effective in preventing HIV. It has been published by the New England Journal Of Medicine, approved by the FDA, endorsed by the CDC, recommended by the WHO, supported by the HRC. It isn't a theory, it is is a scientifically validated fact. Even Researchers at Fred Hutch are embracing this new frontier, that I personally was first introduced to a decade ago.The PrEP movement are not the same as the the VIRUS MYTH movement, Palmer was right about the Non-Reinfection and that being non-detectable is safe. That was a relief. PrEP still has its critics, but that more publications are printing it, it a great sign.

I hope to have a new interview with Palmer in the near future and where he stands on the PrEP movement. I am so grateful to him for opening my eyes, calming my fears and changing my outlook forever.

For More Info, Please get the Facts on PrEP or Join the discussion here. One of the leading people of this movement is our very own, Damon Jacobs. Check his site at Damonljacobs.com.
